Doubtful they would have flown without testing negative first. Another negative test today or tomorrow and they should be good to go.

Nice article about Buxton in the New York Times...

‘He’s the Best Player in the World’

The Byron Buxton Experience is finally happening for the Minnesota Twins and the team could not be happier. A little caution along the way can’t hurt.

Just read where Correa himself has said he probably won't play tomorrow.

It's a 6:40 game today, Ryan gets the start. Hope they have their hittin shoes on as Verlander starts for Houston & they've won 7 in a row.

This series doesn't bode well for the Twins. Although I said the same thing when they went to Tampa.    :doah:

A 5-0 loss to Houston. Nearly no hit by Verlander. No Correa or Buxton or Larnach. Once Houston got in front they ran all over the place. I'm not a fan of the new catching style they are teaching. The catchers have almost no chance of throwing anybody out.

Didn't seem to be a lot of people there even for a Tuesday. Maybe they all stayed home to watch the Wild.

You're right DB, it wasn't. According to ESPN, capacity of Target Field is 39,029 & with 16,156 in the stands, that is 41% full.

So last nights game will resume at 12:10 today.  30 minutes after that game the second game will start.  Each team can use an extra player.

Archer was terrible last night so the rains came at a good time. Houston is loaded, they will be tough to beat especially if Verlander holds up all season. I'll have the TV on.

Nice to see a good start from Ryan after the last couple & so was takimg 2 of 3 from Cleveland. :happy1: It sounds like they'll start getting some guys back now too. Bundy is scheduled to star game 2 in Oakland & Garlick is flying out there to join them as well. Ober, Correa, & Larnach might be able join them this week too.

The game is at 8:40 tonight.  Won't be watching much of that.  My bed time isn't much later than that.

Same here. Will record and watch it tomorrow. Just have to keep from hearing the score.

Getaway day today, so it's a 2:30 game. Gray gets the ball & I heard Correa is going to play. They had to move Lewis & Cotton to make room for Bundy & Correa yday too.

Getaway day, I'll say, and get away fast after the drubbing they gave the A's yesterday.   :happy1:

Still puzzled about Baldeli's explanation for sending Royce Lewis back to St. Paul...  Royce is doing well at the plate, but they won't play him at other defensive positions with Corea back in the lineup.

They say that they don't want to move him around all over the place, but (in so many words) sending him back to St. Paul will give them a chance to get him comfortable playing other positions.

I s'pose if Corea somehow plays for the twins next year, they will want Lewis in the lineup as well.  But why not play them both together now?

Give Lewis a little OJT in the big leagues since he has a hot bat.   :pouty:

Well Paddock didn't last long.....Tommy John surgery yesterday. Out for the season. Doesn't look like trading Rogers for him was such a great idea.

They'll attempt a cheap extension like they did with Pinada. I have no problem with the trade. I like Paddock, Pagan is decent. They aren't winning anything this year anyway.

Rogers will be a FA at the end of this season & he's going to get paid pretty well. Twins must've thought that they wouldn't be able to sign him, so they traded him.
