Texas's bullpen blew another save, they lead all of MLB, yday or the Twins magic # would be 6. That was Lopez's worst start yday since his turn against Texas & they won that 1. Gray goes today @ 1:10.

I was really hoping the number would be more like 5 or 4, but they WILL clinch early enough to give rest to the players that need it, give innings to the bench players they are going to need later, and plenty of time to set up the pitching rotation.

Stewart was really good in the inning he pitched for the Saints on Friday, according to https://twinsdaily.com/ . So, they said if things continue to look good after he goes another time or 2 there, he may get recalled before season's end.

3 Twins wins and 3 Cleveland losses and its over. Most important thing is to clinch early to set up the starting rotation for the first 3 game playoff series.

Twinks trail the Reds 2-1 in the bottom of the 4th. Oops make it 4-1. Ryan gives up a 2 run dinger. Fior those who can't get Bally Sports North it's on FS1.

Too many pitches in the middle of the plate yday. Only 5 hits but their rookie pitched really good. Maeda goes today, same time.

I think I'm OK with Keuchel once thru the lineup with a 5 run lead - not much else at this point.     He had a couple of good games since he joined, but if he loses his control for just a bit, its like batting practice for the other team.

If he was more consistently effective, it would be interesting to see how he would be coming out of the bullpen in the 7th - getting swings and misses with all that slow breaking stuff - and then have those same batters at the plate in the 9th facing Duran's heat.   

Good thing I'm not a baseball manager.

Minnesota Twins in Wait-and-See Mode on Star Shortstop and His Injury

The star shortstop left Monday's game with a re-aggravation of his plantar fasciitis, per Dan Hayes of 'The Athletic.'

Correa has played through this injury for several months but could not do it on Monday. He was injured while running after a fly ball in the first inning and left in the top of the second.

Ryan wasn't any better & he throws upper 90's. In fact, Ryan gave up the 2 2-run HR's. Ryan or Ober as the #3 starter in the WC series?

Two Fringe Players for Twins Must Take to the Postseason

This blogger on Twins Daily makes the case for making sure Stevenson and Ober are on the playoff roster...

Enter Ober, who has been cast aside twice this year and responded well each time. It's not as though Ober should be expected to see a Louie Varland-like uptick out of the bullpen, but having his arm as an option is more comforting than Paddack and more reliable than Jorge Alcala, Cole Sands, Josh Winder, or someone from that rotating group.

I can't sat I disagree with him.
