It could get that way after the car club meeting tonite!  :rotflmao: Hearing some stronger mutterings about snow mid-to-late next week. We don't need no stinking snow!  :angry2: Anhydrous was going on pretty good yesterday before the rain. Things came to a screeching halt once it got serious. Get a breeze & sunshine for a day & they should be going again. The deal breaker may be the rain Monday nite into Tuesday. Looking at the 7 day estimated precip total it's probably time to kick 'er in the asset! Some of the weather models on Bring Me the News don't thrill me either.

We're really getting spoiled with this global warming and long fall seasons before the snow comes.

Back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s there was always snow up north for the gun opener - even if it was just an inch or two that fell the Friday night before.  I only remember one unseasonably warm season when we hunted in shirtsleeves.  Now it is the exact opposite.  It is a rare occurrence if we have any snow up north during the duration of the gun season.

The gals from Inger will be glad to take yer money tho I bet!

The falls have trended to a longer, warmer version of what they once were here although I better not say that too loud. The ground used to freeze up around Thanksgiving so we'd have to get all our plowing done before then. Was nice to be done & enjoy all the nice hot food. Now if you're not done by Halloween you're a slowpoke. Usually I clean barn in later November to early December. Some years I can go until almost January if need be. Others I've had to scratch and claw to make it out to the field and back because the snow is too deep in early December. We could be in for one of those soon. That's why I hope the tire guy gets back to me soon so I don't have to pull the chains off to work on it. Don't need 'em yet but there comes a time.

Was just talking to an old fishing buddy yesterday. He loves up in Stearns County. He and I always use to go ice fishing on the day after Thanksgiving in his area. It's been at least 10 years since we've done that

Yay! Tire guy called this afternoon while I was working on another project. Wants to put new rears on the 656 which I OK'ed. At just a little over $600 a pop, I can live with that. The new rims came in at $385, well below what I had priced several other places so that was also good news. He won't be able to deal with the weights until a later visit which is OK. With the chitspreader, all the weight is on the tongue & drawbar when it's loaded. Weight is also entirely on the rear end with the snowblower. I'll put the chains on too if it decides it wants to play rough.  :coffee:

As easy as a Deer on a warm day.  Lay down and take a nap! 🤭
