The ground was turning white already @ 8:15, so I stepped out back. It was just changing to snow then as the lids to our recycling cans had some graupel on 'em. Temps have dropped another degree or 2 now, so it must be all snow now.

It looks like it changed to snow here now.  Have to look out the east and west windows to tell.  TV is still not good.  Pixelated.  That sucks.

There was open water on the west side of the Hwy 46 Cutfoot bridge a week & a 1/2 ago. This week when we went to town it was open on the other side almost all the way over to where they set up to take the spawn. So, I knew it was likely open at the Narrows too. There's open water on both sides of the little bridge here by us now as well. It was just on the south side last Sunday.

Was starting to see a ring forming around St. Olaf yesterday afternoon. Ice was starting to get that dark colored look to it. Got most of the divots from snow removal replaced in the yard yesterday afternoon. Concerned after the system coming thru Wed. I'll be doing it again. Starting to see a greenish tinge on the south facing slope in the yard & pasture.

Yup, sorta like this last one was a more northern storm. As Mr. Roger's would say, it's nice to share.  :nerd:

Still windy but getting lighter out.  Snow is done.  SO it started about 3 am and went to 1 pm.  Started about 5 earlier than I thought it was supposed to but it ended 5 hours earlier too.   :happy1:  I would say 4" at the most.

Better visibility here now too. The 24/7 radar station showed it was just about east of us last I looked. Still lightly snowing here though, we had about 1 1/2" when I checked ~ 11:30.

Ain't that the truth? Yesterday I was down to a sweatshirt, baseball cap, light jeans & cotton chore gloves. Tonite I'm puttin' the lined jeans, heavy chore coat & winter chore gloves back on. Good B ball games on this afternoon. Right now it's time for popcorn after waking up from my glenn nap. 😋

It was done here by 3:30 & the wind has even begun to settle down some now. I stepped out back earlier, but it's hard to tell how much we got back there because it blows off the house & drifts bad. Wind will be better tomorrow, so it can wait.
