The bunnies had tapered off some the past couple years. Thought maybe we were in the clear. Then it snowed once back in January. Holy crap for tracks. I've been seeing them schmucked on the roads too. Not a good sign. Snowing hard. Looks like they took the under when they should've taken the over on this forecast. Getting close to 2" & could snow a couple hrs. yet.

The latest version is now saying an 80% chance of 6 " of heavy snow possible from Tuesday evening through late Wednesday night, with wind gusts as high as 35. I won't be surprised at all if that changes.......................... more than once by the time it gets here.  A 30% chance of at least 12" for the North Shore & the Brainerd Lakes region in there too.

Watching the next system starting tomorrow. This one is supposed to start as snow then change over to rain Wednesday. Wet snow this time of year makes the ground like snot underneath. The good news is the frost is out in a lot of places. Plenty of moisture to wake things up once temps start to warm again. Still amazing what a temperature swing we've had. High was 84 on Friday afternoon and this a.m. it was 23, a 61 degree swing.

 The hourly is saying that the snow will start about 9 or 10 tonight & not finish up until midnight or 1:00 on Thursday.

Looks like it'll just mess with us today and tomorrow. Start out with snow & rain then become all rain tomorrow. Amounts of 1/4" - 1/2" liquid equivalent precip will be likely, enough to keep things muddy. Then we should start a drier stretch where high temps are in the mid-40's to lower 50's and lows should be in the mid-to-upper 20's. Pretty close to normal temps for us this time of year.

Expecting 6-10 inches here starting this afternoon. But 95% chance all day tomorrow. Depends on how warm it is and starts as rain. Also how much melts when it hits the ground.
National Weather Service says we could get up to 14 on the extreme. 

We can use the moisture and it will probably melt fast.

And it's not an April Fool's Joke.

had a break in the snow for a bit but snowing now again. based on the #4 news tomorrow looks like a rough day!! checked the webcams up north and no snow yet..but there;s an aweful lot of northern schools closing tomorrow!!!!!!!

Several crashes on I 35 down this way. More snow than expected so it packed on pretty good. People going by here real slow. 🐌

Radar has showed it snowing here since around 3 but we've been closer to GR's temps all day than Bemidji's. Still 33 here & looks like it might be 12:30-1:00 before it starts.

Our heaviest snow looks to from ~ 10:30-11:00 this morning until around 6 or 7, but it looks like it might not quit 'til 10 or 11 though.

I walked out to the mail box and there is no cleaning at the moments..  frozen down hard..  only and inch or so..  more drifted on the car hood than on the ground..  I'm in no rush...

Stepped out back ~ 9, looked to be about 1" then. No ice underneath here. Think I'll run the Grizzly up & down the driveway a couple times after lunch just to check it out again. It can wait 'til tomorrow then.

They had initially pulled the rain today out of the forecast here earlier, then they decided to put it back in again. Initially they'd indicated a tenth to a quarter inch but now they've backed it down to less than a tenth. Sticking with their forecast high in the low 50's however. I hope so. Raw and cold right now at 36 degrees with a SE wind gusting to 35 mph. Supposed to change to SW so that must be where they think the warmer temps will come from.

Just took a drive to town and the roads are all just wet.  Even went east about 7 miles to the Vidas landing.  Still just wet roads.  Have 2" settled on the gravel driveway.  Still snowing but not real hard.

Quite a few purple circles on I-94 on both sides of Alexandria on 511mn. Lots of pink to the WSW of there as well. I was just out & ~ 2 1/2" here & it's pretty wet stuff, we had 36.

I just ran into town quick.  32 degrees and the highways are soaked like it was raining.   This will be a skating ring in a couple hours.

Whatta sloppy mess it was today,  even after all the rain today we still have  overnight snow on the ground here. Gotta be Glenn's doings,  patio furniture,  drained the fuel in the snow chuckers...
