 I'm by no means an expert garlic growers, but don't you pull them like July or something  and plant new garlic for next year in oct or so??

Some are starting to go bad so my brother is prepping to can most of the tomatoes we have left today. Pretty sure that we haven't had fresh tomatoes this late in the season before.......... ever. :happy1:

He did 3 qts & 4 more pints later that afternoon. Still enough to almost cover the bottom of his box out in the garage yet though.

I believe i watered the garden the last time yesterday, jalapenos are still coming but the tomatoes have really slowed down.  I tried 4 plants of Brussel sprouts this year, they each had several hundred little balls on em, but to me it wasn't worth it. Anywho won't be long until we can sketti sauce..

With all of the good ideas and inspiration that is on here we canned 8 pints of pickled beets and 8 pints of pickled green tomatoes.  So now how long should we wait to attack them?  3 weeks? Longer? The beets were given to us but if they turn out we may plant them next year.

Our local ASCS or whatever you call it gives these out free.  When it runs out they will refill it.  Comes with a few pages of info too.

You can just rub this on the plant above the ground and it will kill them too.  We wanted them gone so cut then dabbed and burned.
