:rotflmao: :tut: only weirdos call in corn hole.  Herebon Stearns county normal people call it bean bag.

Nope never had, it's for people that can't pitch horseshoe.  :sleazy: :rotflmao: my dad made some.

I got a horse shoe pit too.... but when the grand kids are around, running all over the place....I figured this would be safer.

I always thought the name "Cornhole" sounded pornographic.  We play it a lot at relatives in the summer time.  Bean Bag sounds better.   :rotflmao:

That's awesome HD !!!! We have " cheater" boards at the cabin, no lip in front where you can swim the grass and wipe out bags. I know it's not regulation rules but it works.

It's real popular down here, they even had a winter league at my buddies bar back when I worked for him. He had a big wooden dance floor that they'd set up 5-6 pairs of boards on. Those were home made boards too, but no skins back then. That was probably close to 20 years ago now & they just called it playing bags.

      Who changed the name? Why?
It's still beanbag here at the home. Haven't played it in years. I guess we have several unused lawn games laying around. Can't get real lawn darts anymore.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Those real lawn darts were great.  Who could stand the longest while lobbing them at each other.  With a cocktail in one hand.   :sleazy:

 Pretty sure that's just what it was called in other parts of the country, tt. No league here anymore, either, as none of the bars have enough room. But I think that group still plays it a lot. Now 1 of their group has his dad's farm just outside of town & that's often their party spot. I don't go out there but 1 of the out buildings is big enough to play in, if they wanted. I'm sure they still play outside a bunch too.

My wife got hit about 1/2” from her eye with a Jart.  That was before we met, but she said it bled like crazy.

Yup, mama is making the bags. She's putting dried corn in them.

I have a couple of those jart games in the shed.... they only come out when the Jack is flowing (and no grandkids)

Good work HD.  It does look like a fun project.  Been here for 19 years and have talked about horseshoes the whole time.  Still haven't done it.  Used to throw shoes a lot when my Grandma and Grandpa were still with us.   They were really into it.  They made 4 pits for a big party once.  Lots of action and lots of booze flowing too.  Had a half hog buried in a pit too.  Bean bags look a lot easier to do.

“I have a couple of those jart games in the shed.... they only come out when the Jack is flowing (and no grandkids)”

Good plan, HD.

My FIL was really competitive to the point of being kind of an A- hole. He went to a few big time horseshoe events and did pretty well. I know some of them were in Milwaukee. He also bowled a 300 and was really kind of a jerk to play poker with, and cribbage, and who got the first fish, who got the biggest fish, who got the most fish, and on and on.
