ok bobby,
still don't quite follow you on this entire lakeiwanttobethere stuff,
are you talking about the chat here or what?
or is it over at wheredaheckisit?
this whole story thing seems more like a 9th grade class creative writing  project, with one person chiming in under several different names.
oh, by the way, your avatar here is much more friendlier than the last one i seen at the other site you stopped in at and tried to play this game.

I like reading the stories and have been following them on this site and the other one. Funny stuff if you ask me.

I'd say that if you dont like em, dont read em. Simple as that!

Also. You mentioned 9th grade stories in your reply, I'd say your more like the 9th grader with your personal attacks on this and many others. Its  abvious you have a problem with BB and others.

Ok buddy,
i went back and found the welcome to mno post for BB.
now i know that it is just a column about a fictional place that BB wants to write about.
sorry if i offended you in asking what this was all about, didn't see the start of this and have asked BB several times what's up , but never got an answer.
so please excuse me and i hope you can tune into KCUM "on the dial"  as BB says, and enjoy your listening and reading some more.

This on going story about the place we call Lake Iwanttobethere  has been alive and well on the net for over two and a half years. Stories of the lake have been hosted by different sites and are still being hosted by two of the top outdoor sites. Other seasonal stories of the lake have posted on other sites and have been copied untold times and I am told enjoyed by many.  I don't keep count but there have been upwards of  30,000 plus reads of stories related to Lake Iwanttobethere.  I was invited to  come here and bring the stories of the lake with me. Several others also followed to this site to continue to read and to add to the stories of the lake.

You have the simple choice to read or not read the strings, they all have Lake Iwanttobethere in there topics. Pretty hard not to figure out they are about the lake. As for others who contribute to these stories they have a better grasp of it and it's intent then you do. Having said that, Just don't read them if they bother you.

In regards to my avatar I feel you are insinuation my choices are not in good taste. Since you are just stating your thoughts on an avatar that I nor others can see. I feel you are  making a somewhat misleading statement. That or you have a problem with Pink Flamingoes?

ok bobby,
this might sound stupid, but i don't follow you here with this post, are you trying to say that you have a site and want us to stop by or what? looked around a little and don't know what you are hinting at.
ciao

Copies from two posts following your question in regards to the lake. I saw no reason to add to them.. Bobby

TNT, we are just reporting about our wonderfull piece of Heaven on earth.
From DT

TNT, have a look at the Lake Iwannabethere history thread, and prepare for some hefty reading. It'll be enjoyable, though; I can guarantee it. You might even want to set the stage with a strong fire in the fireplace and your favorite libation in hand. You'll figure it out soon enough, and then you can advance to the Lake IWTBT thread, and get caught up on current events. Enjoy!

Hiya, I just want to go on record by saying I love the writings about the lake. So many times I have busted a gut laughing and more times than not I have just about felt as if I was actually there. I also know that there are many others who read but don't contribute because of the lack of writing skills. (myself included)

Creative writing? Yup! Youbetcha! So from me to you Bobby, (and the rest of ya'll) THANK YOU!!!

Thanks D.T., It means alot! I know I speak for all of us, well most of us, o.k., some of us, maybe just me......Just Kidding

It's nice to hear that you like the writings, some times you feel like everybody reads, and some times you feel like nobody reads. Like everybody else in the world, a little recognition feels good!

So, Thank You!

And Thanks to Bobby for making it possible!

With the news that Nytelyter will be expanding his business over on Root Beer Island I guess he will have an excuse for his boat being tied up there all the time !    Hoping the new dock will be able to handle the pontoon boats as I am sure they will be there on Saturday nights. See prices go up and we add a store on the lake so you can save gas money.   :happy1: Nothing like the Lake pulling for ya.. I for one will be making a few more stops at Root Beer Island ! Not to mention a shaded and screen dock will be another place for the bass to hide out under.   :fishing:
