Lake Susan- alot of the crappies are being taken on crappie minnows with plain hook in about 14 FOW. The Fish were a little more aggressive this week. They were suspended from 2 feet off the bottom to up to 6 feet off the bottom. The Few we caught this week were between 9 and 11 inchs. Did alot of panfishing also caught a few keepers on mashed up waxworms in about 14 FOW. Still no walleyes to report. I didn't evens see any on the camera. Caught 2 nice size northerns on the tip ups in about 12 FOW on the south end of the lake. sizes were 26 and 32 inch's.

Lake Riley- The Fish seemed to be easyier to find this week. Caught our limit of crappies in about an hour time span. then the bite slowed down to a little crappie here and there. the bite started at about 4:30pm and came to a halt at about 6 pm. no walleyes or northerns were taken and talked to a few guys who told us that there really hasnt been any walleye action this past week.

Lotus Lake- This lake always produces fish just with no size. but the farther away we got from Carver Beach the bigger the crappies got. Almost keeper size. we had perch crappies and even a small walleye take our crappie minnows in about 14 FOW. we moved several different times. But the Action remained constant by the south access.

I also heard that the fishing on lake waconia is picking up a bit also. again i have only heard this and havent had time to get out to waconia to fish it yet.

We have the permanant on waconia and the fishing has been great.  Fishing in 22fow, and the bite for crappies usually starts right before dark and goes until abot 7-7:30.  Catch 7-8inch sunfish from noon until 6pm.  Small perch all day long and the occasional walleye after dark.

Just find the big group of houses and go right on the outer perimeter of them.

I talked to a guy who lives on the lake the other day and he is not an ice fisherman but he says once April comes he catches tons of nice crappies out there! I would guess that someone has to be doing good somewhere on that lake during the winter!

Years ago we fished it, me and a buddy. We did really well, but It's been so long. I can't remember where it was on the lake.   :banghead:
