So what are you all doing for food this weekend.  We had an idea for a NY Strip and a lobster tail.  Then I got some jalapenos for bacon wrapped poppers and the wife got some frozen battered dill pickles.  SO we have enough that we are going to do the steak and lobster today and will do snacks horse doveries tomorrow.  Thinking we will fire up the Power XL on the counter to do the grilling with.  It is fun to use.

We usually do a nice spread of goodies and have family over. Who cares about the game, it's all about the food! I mean really, how many Sweds get drunk on St, Patrick's day and Cinco de Mayo. Lot's!!

Leech always has a nice spread.  Thought about chicken wings but the last two times they just were not that good.  I sure like them when someone else does them right though.  I will look for a nice and easy bake them recipe.

Barry, this the way my friend does wings and they come very good...  coat wings in fryin magic, bake till done...  then throw them in a crock pot with bbq sauce!!!   hope this helps you!!!

Just like any chicken on the pellet grill wings turn out good also. It's nice to have a little crunch to em so I sauce early.  Really doubt I'll watch much of the game, thanks Tater Swift. But the kids n pooches are coming over fer baby backs n cabbage casserole.

From one cabbage lover to another Bobb.  If you have time I would like to hear about your cabbage casserole.  I think they are good for the soul as well as other things.  LOL

Right there with you.  I am not a fan of football and really not a good listener for over paid athletes whining.

Lots going on, so neither of us want to take the time to cool.  We just picked up a batch of pre-cooked chix wings and chili from Costco.

I'm with Ken, I made up a couple rack o ribs too. Turned out pretty good, no pictures were taken. Was lazy and did them the way my ma used to and cooked em in the oven.

The halftime show was lame as expected.  I know I don't match the NFL's new target demographic anymore, but I didn't recognize any of the songs (if you can call them songs these days).
 :pouty:
I thought a couple of the ads were clever.

I liked the Christopher Walken ad for BMW, but like so many Saturday Night Live bits, it went on too long - even for a 30 second ad.

The Dunkin Donuts bit with Affleck, JLo, Damon and TB12.  I typically don't like big production bits (like the State Farm / Arnold Schwarzenegger bit), but this one was good.  I did have a hard time keeping up with dialog.

All the others ranged in ratings from 'Easily Forgettable' to 'I'll-Never-Get-That-30-Seconds-of-My-Life-Back'.

And, oh yeah...  It was a really good game.  And par for this year's playoffs, even when I try to pick the loser, I ended up picking the winner.  I'll have to factor that fact into my picks next year.
