We must have just missed ya... I know what you mean, I shot a 79 and before we added up the scores, I was pissing and moanining how bad I was shooting ... definatly should have shot a couple 45's on that course.... :banghead:  I may have to reshoot at least one of those rounds... Yeah, with the C class instead of the A we got last year, we just may have a chance! ;) :rotflmao:

ive already decided that im going to reshoot. i was doing the same thing, i knew i could hit those targets that i was dropping, some of them were my bread and butter shots and i was missing. then i just kept getting frusterated with myself so it went downhill.

I started the day on the wrong foot.... that first station on the blue course(week 5?) I missed the first easy "floater".... :bonk: :banghead: :taz: Put me in the mental hole the whole day I think... :rotflmao: Then every station, you have in the back of your mind that its possible that you can miss even an easy/cake/lollipop target instead of the attack mode/thinking ya can vaporize every clay that dares to show itself....  :surrender:  Dang, the game is fun...aint it? :whistling:  ;D

ya i even missed my first rabbit target of the year this time around. the very first station on green course was the rabbit and the battue target and i couldnt hit the battue target to save my life. i could not figure that one out at all. even the ones that i missed i knew exactly why i missed even told my buddy what i did wrong and had him shoot them and i told him what the lead was even after i missed them he hit them doing what i knew i did wrong. miss judgement on alot of those targets was all i did.

Crack that whip Cody! :taz: :rotflmao:  Dont let him slack off! ;D Just remind him he's out of the gun drawings if he doesnt get in all his rounds... But mostly cause we need his scores to stay in "striking distance... ;)

Thats ok... not bad! :happy1:  Its better than our other 5th persons score so its all good!  Let me know when you guys are gonna go next.... maybe we should do a little grilling after shooting next time out... what do ya think?  Didnt ya have chips left from our MNO deal, or did ya use them as bear bait? :rotflmao:  I have tourney's on two of the weekends in July, the Iron Man is next weekend in Little Falls, the Wild Marsh Cup/Dixie Cup is the weekend of the 25th, so maybe we should shoot for the weekend of the 18th....?

im gone that weekend upnorth....whats the dixie cup? has that hunters shoot one passed already? im doing pretty fair this year averaging about a 74, but i want that to jump up to atleast a 80! so we can have 2 or 3 in the 80's to take the Class C trophy!

You and Mitch have got 80's in ya for sure.... I cant believe I havent had a round in the mid (or high) 40's yet... :banghead:  but I guess I should be happy just being a bit more consistant this year.  I keep getting a 39 then a 41 for an 80 every dang time (averaging around a 40)... or vise-versa  :doah:  Have you guys got out yet for 7 & 8?  I was gonna on Sunday, afternoon, but had things to do... gotta get out this weekend....

Oh yeah... the Dixie Cup... It used to be on the same day as the Wild Marsh Cup, but now they seperated them to sat & sun. on the same weekend.  The dixie cup is 100 targets I believe, and they are easy, cake targets... mostly close range stuff.  There are alot of high 90 scores, and a few perfect 100's every year.  It used to be kind of a warm up for the Wild Marsh Cup.. I figure they thought they'd get more people to do both if they seperated them up so there isnt so much shooting in one day... it used to be like shooting the dang Iron Man shoot.  Ya gotta try that one next year Cody... really good targets...

Hey Cody... still thinking of goin Saturday? Pats in and Im tryin to get the other guys... it'd be cool to get the group to all go together at least once... or at least a good chunk of the squad... it may be a little preview of things to come for the two shoots the following weekend... ;)

Cody...Looks like the whole squad will be there :happy1:, and we're going to do a little grilling after :chef:... dont know yet who's bringing what, but I figured If we all bring somthing that we can cook later in the weekend, it wont be that tough to wing it.... sounds like we're gonna meet there at 10am... I know its early, but its good to learn how to shoot under adverse conditions! :whistling:  then its just like hunting, eh? :rotflmao:  I'll see if I can narrow down whos bringing what by tomorrow, if its after work when I find out, Ill give ya a call.

We did ok, tough course... I shot a 43/50 first round... 2nd round, ran the first 6 stations... was on a roll... then I burst into flames, and crashed... with a 39/50 :banghead:!  Oh well, over my average over all, but I thought maybe I had that 50/50 goin there for a little while! :rotflmao: :whistling:  Yeah, Ive been limping around on a screwed up ankle, I feel for ya... hope it aint too serious... Havent ya ever shot out of a wheelchair or on crutches before? ;)

still the blue/green course? if was my ankle i would be able to deal with it, dealt with my ankles for quite some time. guess im just gonna have to get the wheeler out there and ride it around lol. only been on crutches 3 times and i hated everytime. how many rabbit targets are there? longer or closer shots? what made them so hard?

Yep, blue /green courses...  I did have the wheeler out there this weekend! ;D  Got ankle /knee issues on the same leg...(should maybe just cut it off) on top of the ole syatic nerve deal in the lower back... just wait Cody... yer not even getting close to middle aged like us older fellas yet... think what it'll be like when we actually get OLD :doah:.....  But the course... lots of looping/dropping targets...there was a flurry station where ya had to pull the targets every 4 seconds whether you were ready or not, didnt like that one much :whistling:... three rabbit stations over the two courses... just alot of Chris's "change up" stuff.  Seemed like tournament targets, maybe a prelude to the shoots there this weekend. (FYI I saw on a sheet there that said "no league shooting" this comming weekend..)  Changed chokes on two stations, otherwise used skeet and improved on the rest....  Actually I didnt think it was bad, I easliy could have had a 90... the other guys were kind of fighting it the whole way through though, Pat had a bad day, but not terrible... most all had lower/mid thirtys.... We need a couple 80's out of you and Mitch! :happy1: I think we are breathing down the necks of the guys that are in 3rd place... we're in striking distance! ;)

Dixie Cup is Saturday, its CHEAP! $25 first 50 rds then $20 each 50 rds after that..... Wild marsh Cup is the next day on Sunday, is 200 rds with lunch between the first and second 100 rds, $110 with tons of prizes and trophies etc. always really well set targets, usually set up by a pro, with a little help from Chris.... usually some of the better targets ya see all year except for the state shoot possibly...You should go Cody, you'd love it.... No RGS sporting clays tourney this year, they had a RGS skeet shoot/dog training seminar/shooting seminar at Metro GC on Thursday last week... it was pretty cool but on a much smaller scale, but they had a good turnout...  Not many people showed last year to that RGS wild marsh deal, it was on the same day as a larger tourney.... :doah:  That flurry was cool, and I had lots of time to load my O/U but Id get too worked up and it messes with your head big time... :bonk: ;D

looks like saturday is the prelim. for 45$ and sunday is the 200 targets with awards and prizes.

on the flyer it says "swords" so maybe you can win a sword...
