   What is the official bass opener date?  Do the Northern  Minnesota fishermen get an advantage?  I guess the clarification will come soon. 

It open from HWY 53 and north, Bobby did the same thing last year, But your lighter is side ways so you can not see the MNO clearly on it,
                        So you will have to wait to see if the judges will pass it or not,

Same way you verify every catch entered is actually caught by the fishermen posting it...TRUST, I'm surprised someone would even question where I caught a fish from.

Since you ladies always need "clarification".....

Is it a legal fish? Yes
Does the season start early up north? Yes
Is there a level of trust there? Yes
Joe Schmoe posted a bass and fish's in maple grove, does that count? No

I think if you ladies are going to get your panties in a bunch over a 16 inch bass...then maybe you aut notna signed up for the fish'in challenge. 
My wife could beat that fish, and she only goes out ...maybe once or twice a year....

I've been thinking about this little trophy since I first saw it. Almost seems like it is meant to be a part of MNO lore.

I am thinking that if the rock bass competition does not come to be, there are still many unique awards this could be used for. For example, could be a traveling trophy that goes to the biggest blabbermouth/chest beater on the smackdown, who falls the hardest and performs the weakest. The fisherman with the highest expectations and most pathetic results. Of course during their rein they would be expected to submit a unique photo or themselves posing with their trophy, every week, until next season when a new inept fisherman would replace them. We could even add a message to the plaque like, "I got my ass kicked."  

Just thinking out loud here.

The possibilities for this little beauty are limitless.
