Well we came home yesterday afternoon. All the trails and forest roads we normally ride on were closed by the county. Nice drive into that head wind coming home. Mileage dropped .7 MPG to 11.2 MPG. Lenny is doing his morning zoomies and herding the cats. Cats are now in their correct locations and I expect all of the rugs to be relocated soon. Oh well. I do have a mountain of bills to go through and more coffee, later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Good morning campers. Woke to 42° and a stiff easterly wind. Looks like maybe some welcome rain. I'm half afraid to tell my wife I don't have much planned for today.
      Stay safe everyone.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Morning boys.  It is 34 here and breezy and sunny.  Should see 63 here.  High near 50 the next two days with possible rain.  We sure need it.  Lots of birds flying around in the trees today.  Will have to find something outside to do today.  Maybe sweep out the garage.  You all have a good one.

Morning boys. 35 here and heading for 53 it says. Didn't make 60 here yesterday. The wind is coming out of the SE so it is coming across the big ice cube. We had a fun day fishing. Caught lots of smaller fish. So nice future stock. We did manage to catch our limits and drown some minners. Some beer was harmed in the process. I decided to just sleep in this morning. So that was the last hurrah I think. Will cut firewood and load woodshed today while the wife works on her spring cleaning. Maybe go for a Ranger toodle this afternoon. Have a good one boys.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 36 at choretime heading for a high in the mid-40's. Just a trace of precip overnite but more is supposed to develop today. Got a lot done yesterday, putting out moth traps, moving equipment, moving hay & piling the manure from the main lot so it's ready to spread come fall. Still need to move sheep but that's likely on hold for today. Will do another set of docking, tags & vax's then see what happens. Just started pouring...  :coffee:

Morning boys. 35 here and heading for 43 today. Supposed to be cloudy all day with rain later. No need to worry about seeing the eclipse here. Otherwise just getting ready for another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Need to finalize a bunch of things for Friday night's bingo. The decision was made to do venison sausage on Saturday morning. I think it will be too warm but then again what do I know. At least until everything gets stuffed. Good news is it's in my garage so it may be rather cool yet in there Saturday morning. Think I'll shut the heater down and open the windows Friday night. Forecast says 40 for the low Friday night. Busy week ahead starting with a pile of bills sitting in front of me so I better get at it. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Thanks Mike, I need to get rain gauge out too. (If I can find it) :happy1:

Mornin guys, 45 here & we should see 61 before it's over. Still a bit breezy, 15-20, again today. I've got an appt over at Mercy in Mason City today at 9:45, so I'll leave about an hour early. I get my meds at WM over there, so I need to pick a couple of them up too. Will get gas too, as my brother found it for $3.07 over there last week & it's still $3.39 here in town. Probably grab some lunch before coming home as well. Might see part of the Eclipse here but most think you'll need to be more down by Des Moines to get a good look at it. 'Bout it here, have a good day!!

Morning boys.  It is 38 here and may see 47.  A passing shower later today and tonight. Sure hope we get some rain.  I too will follow Mikes lead and get the rain gauge up today.   :happy1:  Not a lot else going on and that's fine.  We got a lot done this weekend.  I don't think we will see the eclipse here neither.  Drive careful Gunner.  Have a good one.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 44 at choretime heading for a high in the low to mid-50's. .54" of rain at the ranch and .62" in Bugtussle. Typical Monday. Re-hash of weekend basketball, pay some bills, send some bills and head to the post office. Haven't had to talk anyone down off the ledge because planting is delayed, yet, but the day is young. Said it many times, these guys need to get some livestock. Then they'd have something to constantly worry about rather than working so hard at dreaming things up. Have seen two total eclipses. As glenn would say, meh. Goes from sunny back to light conditions about like before sunup then back to sunny. Last one was in IN when I was on Crop Tour back ~ 2017. We likely won't see it here anyway due to the clouds.  :coffee:

Morning boys.  37 here and they say 56 for the day.  I would bet against it.  We have 1/4" of rain so far.  Glenn pound it carefully.   :rotflmao: :rotflmao:  It is wet here but no puddles.  May even see a hint of green coming through.  The eclipse may have made it a little darker here but would have not even known since it was cloudy already.  Bucko who is obviously a buckskin looks like a bay today.  Must have been rolling on the wet ground.  He has some hay to lay in too.  Well no big plans for the day.  Mayhaps finish a good book I am reading.  Have a good one.

Thinking I may hook up the steel yard roller, put some water in it and then roll out the back yard. After tossing some fertilizer on it first. Night crawler piles are unbelievable and it will pound some dog piles into the ground too. :rotflmao: I have enough to do already. Tomorrow we, local sportsmen group, are stocking trout in a small river North of me. Well another cup of coffee and I better get to it. Lenny is redecorating the house now so it will naptime for him soon and I can get some work done around here. Later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 40 at choretime heading for a high in the low 60's.  .02" of rain overnite at the ranch & in Bugtussle. Slight chance of sprinkles today. Looks very nice so far with sunshine breaking thru the clouds occasionally. Finally got ewes & lambs out in the lot last nite. Of course I had to put the fence back up where the deer had tore thru it again before that could happen. They'd screwed it up in a couple spots, snapped the wire and popped insulators off the posts.  :mad1: Too bad I'm not crazy about venison and don't have time to hunt or I'd thin the herd. Should try to finish the fruit tree pruning tonite. I did the two real PITA trees 1st so the last 4 should go quicker. Then I gotta clean up the mess. Some nice stuff to put in the smoker boxes. I have some fresh brats thawed out begging to be grilled. 🌭
