I don't know.  I've eaten beaver but not possum.    :smoking:  :sleazy:

Anyone that wants one, let me know.   I get a couple per year in the live trap.  Be happy to throw one in the freezer post mortem and drop it off within a reasonable distance or ship it even.

2 summers ago  while i was reducing the rabbit population in my garden i caught on of them possums in my live trap!!!!!!! so a found one of granny clampetts possum stew reciepes!!!!!! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: just kidding, it turned to garden fertilizer.

LPS, heard a story years ago.. the possums made it up here on hay loads from down south..  not sure one bit if it's true, but they are here..  and If they are In the Osakis area it will be a matter of time before they get up the there.  wolf food!!!

I'm thinking it might have something to do with the milder winters we have had the last couple decades.  Been quite awhile since we have had a real ball breaker of a winter around here.

Saw my first possum in 1977 down in White Water in the middle of a gravel road lying dead... or was it?!?

I'd see them at 11:00 at nite occasionally, crossing the street in front of my house, when leaving for work...right in the middle of town. My pooch cornered one up against the fence in the backyard one nite...that was a barking, growling, hissing scenario.  :shocked:
