That little slap on the hand won't even be felt.  Which goes to show that it was completely worth it for them.  They got their man.

 The decision to roll out the “White Warrior” collection comes partially in response to how much the fan base has gravitated toward the “Winter Whiteout” theme over the past couple of seasons. In those games, the Vikings wore their white jerseys and white pants, finishing the look with their purple helmets.
In a release, Vikings director of brand and design Alicia Dreyer noted how the fan base was clamoring for a white helmet to tie everything together.

“It’s a two-year process to create new uniforms and helmets,” Dreyer said in a release. “We appreciate the fans’ patience and hope they are as proud and excited of the result as we are.”
  :cheerleader:
Sounds like Alicia Dreyer be a white supremacist!  :rotflmao:

I have never heard anyone want white helmets.  I am completely against it.

Slap on the wrist. The laugh might very well be on them though if Cousins sucks this season.

So the Fal-cones are stripped of a 5th round pick.  Yes, a slap on the wrist.  But I though everyone was hoping the Vikes would get MAJOR compensation for that violation.

Do the Vikes get that 5th round pick?  Something higher?  Nothing?

From what I heard we do not get anything in the deal. Pretty messed up considering how bad they hit the Dolphins when they talked to Brady.

Probably like Carbon credits.  Sum body got to pay, but it means and does nothing.   :bonk:

Sam Darnold into J.J. McCarthy with JJ, TJ (eventually, out with knee to start the season), Addison, and wondering how much Aaron Jones has left in the tank.

It will be an interesting season, with all eyes looking forward to 2025 when they have 'legit' cap space to sign free agents in positions of need.

I made a bet that they would win over 6.5 games.  ????   :sleazy:

I think they will end up around .500 for this season. We made a lot of moves this offseason and it might take a bit but think they can be decent if Darnold is serviceable.

Darnold will be fine. He is surrounded by good offensive players and by a coach who presumably knows offense. The defense will be improved but we will see just how good Flores is. If he's as good as everybody here thinks he is....that has yet to be determined.

Chicago is still Chicago.
GB needs to have the Love fest continue.
Will success and money derail Detroit?

Nobody from the division is winning the Super Bowl or even playing in it I don't think.

Chicago is still Chicago.  And the Vikes are still the Vikes.  The Vikes split with Chicago.
GB needs to have the Love fest continue.  The Love fest will continue.  The Pac wins in Week 4 AND Week 17, by which time the Vikes will have nothing to play for, injuries mounting, and JJ will be experiencing rookie year growing pains.
Will success and money derail Detroit?  No.  Not this year at least.  Vikes beat Detroit in Week 7 at home coming out of the bye, loose Week 18 for the same reason they loose Week 17, and Detroit wins the division.

Nobody from the division is winning the Super Bowl or even playing in it I don't think.  No, but I wouldn't be surprised if Detroit won two playoff games.

I made a bet that they would win over 6.5 games.  ????   I'll take the under and hope they get better draft pics for 2025.  ;)

I think they're trying to catch too much lightning in a bottle.  The Vikings (6.5 projected wins, rank 25) need Sam Darnold to lead the team to victories in the early part of the season with a really tough schedule:

At NY Giants (6.5 projected wins, rank 32),
Home for 49ers (11.5 projected wins, rank 2),
Home for Texans (9.5 projected wins, rank 15),
At Lambeau (9.5 projected wins, rank 14),
Overseas for Erin and the Jets (9.5 projected wins, rank 2), and
Home for Lions (1.5 projected wins, rank 4).

Us purple kool-aid drinkers might have hope, but does anyone really think Darnold can do that?  Sam Darnold is no Case Keenum!   :rotflmao:

If they start 1-5 or 2-4, then I think the rest of the season is the Vikes figuring out how best to transition to McCarthy.

The only game you listed that they don't really have a chance is SF.

Stroud can regress.
Love can regress.
Erin will be hurt by then.

If either Stroud or Love get hurt or come down to earth both those games are winnable. The Jets with a healthy Erin don't have enough to be more than .500, he will figure that out and be hurt by then.

I'm far from a NFL guru and really don't care if the Vikings go undefeated or winless. The NFL started losing it's luster for me when it became over-saturated and anti defense.

We have a lot of new guys on our team this year.  I think they may be a pretty good group of players.  I hope they have a little luck and take advantage of it. I hope to see them gel and have a good time playing for KOC. Just give them 7 wins.   :happy1: :happy1: :rotflmao:

What do I know about football   That's right.  Nothing, absolutely nothing.   ;)

Safety Camryn Bynum was asked Thursday on NFL Network's The Insiders what he sees as the Vikes' ceiling in 2024.

"I expect a Super Bowl. Everybody says that, and everybody should say that," he said. "But you look at the guys on the team, you look at the locker room, all the experience we have. Look how much depth we have, especially on the defense. So many guys. It's almost weird looking around, you're like, OK how are we all going to get on the field? There's just so many ballers.

"You look at the offense. There's a baller at every position when you look across the whole board. That's why I'm confident when I say I expect us to be a Super Bowl team. But really, our preparation has to tell it all. You say that every year. Every team says that every year, but we have to put all these names and everything. We have to make it real."

Jordan Addison picked up for DUI in Los Angeles. That's after going 140 MPH in St. Paul in a 50 zone in May.

He was so drunk he had pulled his Rolls Royce over and was sleeping in a lane of the interstate in LA.  Cut him and bring Theilen back.

I wonder what 'risk' insurance costs on a Rolls Royce?
