It’s official! Minnesota has a new state record muskellunge, a 55-pound, 14-ounce fish caught from Mille Lacs Lake on Nov. 22. The DNR has now certified this as a weight-based state record, and it breaks the previous record set by a 54-pound muskie caught from Lake Winnibigoshish in 1957. Ain't that the truth!  When you watch big pike in a dark house you really get a sense of who really owns the lake.

Makes me wonder how many times she was caught,years before....amazing she was never netted by the natives,Also wonder if she was ever tagged by the DNR,years prior. So many question's.
