Too many pitches in the middle of the plate yday. Only 5 hits but their rookie pitched really good. Maeda goes today, same time.

I think I'm OK with Keuchel once thru the lineup with a 5 run lead - not much else at this point.   :thumbs:  He had a couple of good games since he joined, but if he loses his control for just a bit, its like batting practice for the other team.

If he was more consistently effective, it would be interesting to see how he would be coming out of the bullpen in the 7th - getting swings and misses with all that slow breaking stuff - and then have those same batters at the plate in the 9th facing Duran's heat.   :scratch:

Good thing I'm not a baseball manager.   :rotflmao:  :embarrassed:

Minnesota Twins in Wait-and-See Mode on Star Shortstop and His Injury

The star shortstop left Monday's game with a re-aggravation of his plantar fasciitis, per Dan Hayes of 'The Athletic.'

Correa has played through this injury for several months but could not do it on Monday. He was injured while running after a fly ball in the first inning and left in the top of the second.  :doah:

Ryan wasn't any better & he throws upper 90's. In fact, Ryan gave up the 2 2-run HR's. :scratch: Ryan or Ober as the #3 starter in the WC series?  :confused:

Enter Ober, who has been cast aside twice this year and responded well each time. It's not as though Ober should be expected to see a Louie Varland-like uptick out of the bullpen, but having his arm as an option is more comforting than Paddack and more reliable than Jorge Alcala, Cole Sands, Josh Winder, or someone from that rotating group.

I can't sat I disagree with him.

3 starters against the Angels will probably be the first 3 in the playoffs.....

Lopez, Gray, and Ryan although Maeda has looked better thab Ryan lately.

I love it that the 9th inning rally started with a perfect bunt, a stolen base, & a bad throw from their catcher. :happy1: It's great to see 'em still be able to play a little small ball. :cool:

Yeah, the double steal was ballsy - especially with Vazquez as the trailer.

Hopefully there will be enough time for Correa and Lewis to get healthy.

And its been about a week now since we've heard anything about Buxton.  He got the shot in his knee, which was supposed to quiet things down.  They say - or are hoping - he could be ready for the playoffs, but I worry that he hasn't face big league pitching in a long time and he wasn't hitting well before that.
