That's the best way to handle it glenn, one day, one thing at a time. Spending it outside doesn't hurt. The guy whose wife recently had hospice called in comes in to visit in the mornings. Needs to unload & get away for a while. Same thing with him. One day at a time and he spends a lot of them outside putzing or mowing lawn.

I'd be damn scared too Glenn.  BUT you can rest assured that they know what they are doing and everything will be just fine.  The best attitude you can both have at this point.

Good luck on Friday for yourself and Mrs. Thoughts are with the both of you. I spent a few days down there in 2014 to remove a piece of my right kidney. VERY good people work there. Had me in and out in two and half days.  :happy1:

Only overnight after getting a new hip???
technically it's not a new hip, there putting in a spacer loaded with meds to try and kill this infection and a pik line for more meds to get rid of the infection. If in 3 to 6 to 9 months if they get rid of the infection then they'll put in a new hip, but her leg will be shorter.

I learned a long time ago that Insurance companies make a lot of these standards for hospital stays, but I also got schooled that the insurance companies have a lot of medical people making these calls.
