I bought this rig for $750 two years ago. It came with a single stage snow blower attachment. Since my driveway is made up of recycled tar and gravel, it never worked very well. If it was heavy wet snow, the blower would just get clogged no matter how slow you went. Or, if it was light snow, it would pickup the gravel and throw that too.

Anyways, I found a ATV plow for $100 on Fartbook marketplace. This was my weekend project. I had to do a little welding and cutting, but I got it to fit. It also didn't come with skids, so I made some. Right now, the blade sits 1.25 off of the floor. I don't know how much it's going to dig in till I try it. I can always add holes if I need to lower it later.
Mama always said, If you ain't got noth'in nice to say, don't say noth'in at all!

That is a one heck of a deal HD.  I plow but when we have a lot of snow I wish I had a blower.  Good job.  That tractor looks like it is in great shape too.

Looks nice. I would hate to see you do all that work and then get no snow. That would be terrible.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Nice score HD! Freaking bargain!

I'm hoping for snow too.

Just pulled the old girl inside for some pre season maintenance.  I didn't have her our not even once last season because I didn't like our ice conditions on lake of the woods.

Yes, I restored that one for a customer.  I haven't done any restoration work for over 2 years now though.  I've been full time in a weld shop that I run with my brother and my 2 sons.

I kind of figured it was coming soon, very sad.  I'm sure there will be parts for my Panther for a while. Wonder what's next?  :undecided:

I don't see how many people can spend 15 to 20 grand + for a new snowmobile

metoo.  I have had about 12 snowmobiles and have never been without one since I was 14 years old.  All of them have been used and most of them were very good "Like new" deals when I bought them, and I have never paid more then $3,500 for one.  The only brand new snowmobile I have ever owned was a 1974 Skidoo 400 FA I won in a give away contest when I was 16 years old!  :dancinred: I use them mainly for Ice fishing now.  Current sled.  2003 Panther 570 F air cooled, I've only had fans for ice fishing.  It only had about 285 miles on it and I paid about $3,000 for it.  So there out there.  :happy1:

I pretty much use mine for fishing as well.   I have a 2004 Ski Doo with racks to carry my gear.  No way I would be buying a new one myself.

I have a 98 Ski Doo Touring long track.  Great machine.  Just use it to go to the fish house and back.  Also have tracks for the 650 Grizzly.  Just use them in the spring to take the fish house off the river.  Put skis on the tires to take it off.  Usually put the tracks on and back in a matter of days.

I have 2 sleds. A 2006 Arctic Cat Crossfire 700 that I bought new when we moved up here. I also have a 2015 Arctic Cat Bearcat 570 fan. That one is my ice fishing rig. A friend of mine got if for me back when he worked at Arctic Cat. Brand new in the crate for $3800.

  not sure what kind of sleds you guys run, but other than a few plugs,  occasionally a belt and a carb job twice  i haven't had to work on mine. Add some grease. And it's a 1995 model and runs great .
But I don't beat the he'll out of it either.

I had sleds in the 70's and they always needed worked on.  I don't do a lot now other than regular maintenance.  I don't ride hard neither.

The trick is, to keep changing her out for a younger model every few years.  That way her gaskets don't get old and brittle.   :happy1: :happy1:  :coffee:
