Great time!! Thanks for the invite guys....it was a great first time for me. I was very surprised as to how I shot ;D. I would love to do it again of course depending on my schedule. I realize where my weakness is when it comes to shooting. Hopefully by fall maybe Red will be able to at least pull his weight where myself and the other half Fin Power have trouble with the angles. ;).

Yep... Had a great time... even if I lost a few points TRYING to improve on that tougher course :banghead:...  oh well, thats the way the target crumbles..... HD, your son did very well, he made us look slow, blind and old on more stations than we will ever admit, (especially his pops ;D) and yeah... Deadeye had the shot of the day with that swing around move on that last station on the skeet field  ;)  (Deadeye... supposed to get that baby before it get to you... :whistling: great recovery though! ;D) We have some talented wingshooters here at MNO! Thanks for coming everyone!

OK, OK, I get the point..... load one before saying "pull".  I think I got better towards the end.  (not shooting, but loading the gun).  My brother in law and I both had a great time. Thanks Cody for the burgers and putting this together.  It was great to see some old MNO'er and meet a few new ones.  We will definatly have to do this again next year.  Oh, and thanks to whoever brought the beer.

I'll get the Camcorder fired up for next year so everyone else can see the fun times they missed along the the clays we missed on.

Great time shooting and great company to shoot the bull with and share a few beers with.

Hey! I resemble those remarks! :rotflmao:

I still like how he could have a gun malfuntion on the first bird, pick the stuck hull out by hand, get the next one jacked in, and still have time to shoot at the second bird....  :happy1:

yes he was very good at clearing that stovepiped shell, chambering another one and getting the shot off. like i said before he is a excellent shooter for his age.

Yeah.... I would say that he got one back in the chamber as fast as any adult Ive seen, and didnt seem to get too flustered when it happened unlike what most adult shooters would do .... katy bar the door when he is big enough to fully handle an adult size gun... and has a gun of his own... maybe an autoloader or an o/u.... he'll clean up on the old guys big time!  Hunter... gotta add... shooting abilities aside, he had a great attitude... didnt pout when he missed some targets, didnt complain that his shoulder was turning to hamburger, you could see him soaking it all in... seemed to have alot of fun out there in the "Bayou heat".... good kid. :happy1:

Ain't nothing wrong with an 870!! Works just fine for me........this is my second one. My first is at the bottom of the duck pond.... :rotflmao:....Long story! I purchased both of them at pawn/second hand shops and been happy with both. Pull the trigger and the rest is history.....that's all I need!!

Nope... nuthin wrong with em at all.... still have my first 870, its taken many turkeys, pheasants and grouse.... the thing should be bronzed and retired, but its too good of a tool!  BUT.... Its not my favorite gun.... for me, it doesnt get more simple than a break open SxS or a O/U.  Two shells in, two shells out.... nuthin to jam or freeze up, & reeaaly easy and quick to clean :happy1:. Plus ya have the two different chokes/switchable barrel option....  FireRanger, I hope that Remington is at the bottom of that pond cause of a mishap & not from a missed bird tantrum... :whistling: :rotflmao:  (saw a guy toss his in a pond at a clays tourney once... total meltdown ;D)

You forgot to mention the shells that are laying next to it........  I wonder if we could find that?
