so i  have been thinking about having another sporting clay shoot for this summer, i have had 2 one in 2008 and one in 2009, so why not 2010? it usually gets a decent turn out. the first year we had to go in 2-3 seperate groups. its a fun way to get out and enjoy a day of shooting your trusty shotgun and meeting other MNO members, maybe having a few at the end and making some burgers, and shoot the bull.

how many people would be interested? i am aiming for a date at the end of july.... any interest?

My son and I would like to go.  We made it the first year but missed out last year.

I can't speak for Cody but I think it will be held @ Wild Marsh in Clear Lake, just north of Becker.  For those not familiar, it's half way between Elk River/Rogers and Saint Cloud.

It's also a short drive from Princeton or Zimmerman.  It's a few miles south of Highway 95.

if your coming across on 95 you just keep headin west until you enter santiago.. then the cross road is... county road????? 7? I think  it's 7? it's about 45 minutes west from north branch.

if you can get through princeton with the stupid 95 detour... just follow the signs for santiago and take a right at the gas station in santiago.. it'll take you right there.

Works for me.... though I may get my league rounds in before then... should be fun, hope to get some folks out for some clays that havent tried sporting clays before.... for those that havent tried it, but have shot trap, skeet or even 5-stand, ya gotta give it a go... whole different ballgame & this is the perfect venue to try it with some fellow MNOers that will help & encourage you and give a bit of advise if needed, (not to mention some food & beverages afterwards! :happy1:) unlike what you'd get if you went out with the brother/father in-law or your ruthless buddies ;D  Lets get some more MNO folks out to Wild Marsh and have some fun! :happy1:

sounds cool. I'll try to make sure the date is open. if I can find the time I have an idea for a trophy for us, and I'll see if I can get it together in time. maybe we can make it a traveling trophy or something along those lines.

FYI:

WM has a Dixie Cup shoot the 24/25 weekend so it wouldn't have worked anyways.
