How about next year everyone who didn't post gets thrown in the same hat and can be teammates together.  Then all the people who did post a fish this year and any new comers get thrown in another hat.  Just a suggestion not set in stone.
sounds good to me!
This years Challenge is not over yet and already you guys are looking to change rules. I suppose next we will have to have categories so every team will be guarantee a walleye fishermen and a northern fishermen and a bass fishermen, Then I suppose we will have to go to zones since heaven forbid someone who fishes in Canada should not be able to post their northern against someone who only fishes in Iowa.   :doah: More rules, for something that is suppose to be a simple contest and a way of meeting new fishermen you guys are turning it into some thing that was not it's intent and you of course want to do all of this with no entry fee and still get prizes.    Sounds like there will be some new people running the Challenge next year, if there is one. :coffee:

I would have to say that our Challenge Leadership managers have done one hell of a job! Also, the competition has become more intense due to increased participation.

Just as last year some participants have become somewhat opinionated with well meaning intentions as to what and should and shouldn't be considered in the Challenge rules. Unfortunately to many cooks spoil the soup. Let us sit back here a moment and consider the fact that this years Challenge has been more successful than last years.

More:

Prizes
Teams
Fish entered
Competitiveness
Smack down posts
Details on standings
Chances to win
All these improvements along with others.

I figure were a lucky bunch to have staff members that are willing to step up and take the time to (POI) such a fun event.

Woke up this morning to snow on the ground, not a dusting either but enough to do tracking in.  :snow5:  I might just have to put the Puddle Humper away and maybe do some shore fishing if and when we get a nice day.  :fishing2:  A balmy 34 out right now..

Good thing I added "JUST A SUGGESTION NOT SET IN STONE" to that post I made.  Otherwise I might have been tracked down and shot.   :sorry:  I just didn't want HD to drop out next year that is all.

Job Description for #1 Judge.

Must be able to spend countless hours on the board watching and waiting for fish to be posted.

Must know current Challenge rules inside and back and answer questions for those who can't or won't take the time to read said rules.

Must have software that can see markings on rusty tape measures, low light pictures, through shirt sleeves and at angles.

Must answer PM's by others who complain about lengths awarded or not awarded to their and others fish.

Must field questions as to why rules can't be changed in the middle of a challenge or why fish can't be added.

Must explain that the bobbers can't be added to a photo later.

Must explain that fish caught in 1972 can't be used.

Must explain that you can't import someone else's entry to your teams total.

Must explain that you have no control over what their fishing partner does or does not post.

Must explain that you can't change partners.

Must watch Bobby's math so that standing stay accurate.

Lutafish is not something the judges want to be bribed with.

It's 11:48 pm and Borgie is sleeping now. Should I wake her with the bad news? What is this a pre warning announcement before the actual announcement stuff? Sounds like some kind of foreplay.

Quite an impressive surge by the old coots. I'm in awe of anyone out this last weekend. I chose to clean toilets on Saturday instead of going fishing.

Well, me and "Ol Betsy" are hitting the water one more time...to run some sea foam through her carbs. Might as well throw a line over the side for sh*ts and giggles....
Suppose to get up into the 60's this weekend, so, what the heck.

I got an inside scoup that the puddle humper has been retired for the winter, so there won't be any passing going on from that old fart!  ;D

(Besides, them old fellers can't get them trucks out'a granny gear)  :rotflmao:
