Beautiful day here.  Going to be a great weekend too.  60's for the highs.  I can take that.  Seems like early fall and I like it.  I got 2 big T-Bones for the grill either tonight or tomorrow night.  We will see how hard the wife makes me work at home tonight.   ;)  We are going to actually going to catch  up on some projects that I have been procrastinating for too long.  Then hopefully we can go sit in the new deer blind and watch some deer in the food plot.  May even have a cocktail or two out there since we aren't really hunting, just watching.  Will let you know how it all plays out.

I threw a little fertilizer on the grass this evening so I'm guessing the rain will stop.  I too am looking forward to the cool weekend.  I tried to get out to check my trail cam tonight but there was to much water to get to it.  No real plans this weekend.

Yup had some outside projects to do and woke up to rain here to.  Coming down hard now.  A beautiful rain if it was wanted.  lol    Supposed to rain until 1:00.  I brought home a hunk of carpet to put in the deer blind today. I wanted to bring it out in the woods today.  yup I just ran out and got the rained on carpet out of the truck and put it in the garage.  Darn it was heavy. (wet)  Well I guess I will be making Ice Rigs today.

Rain again down here is soggy bottoms. Picked up another 1" yday. We're swamped down here; it just won't quit. Lotsa flooded basements and running sump pumps. Sure glad I put a pump and tiling in. Mines' been belching water out too. Did get out on Thursday, which was killer hume and heat. Headed south for the day in the Lanesboro /Preston area. it the back roads and antique shops. Stopped along the way in Whalen at the locally famous Aroma Pie Shop for a bite. Did some scenery pics and then ended up at the Branding Iron in Preston for a great dinner. Left there and ten minutes later north of there we ran smack into that huge storm that creamed Preston that nite. Had to pull off the road it was so bad. Looks like a cool down finally, maybe clearing tomorrow. I can handle that. Enjoy the weeknd, guys.

Yes some nice pics Reb.  I guess I was wrong we got I nice little rain to work the fertilizer in.  I'm going to work on cleaning up the mower, sharpening blades, and greasing it up.  Then I'm going to bring in the ranger and clean it up and give it a shot of grease.  If plans don't come up for this evening I'm going to fire Nagatha 2 up for some steak on the grill.

I finally got the new deer blind out in the woods on Sat.  We sat in it for awhile on Sun. but didn't see anything.  Will have to let it sit for awhile and let the deer get used to it.  It is real comfy.  Also finally got the big maple tree that was blocking my Dish reception cleaned up.  Got out the wood splitter that I made out of my snow blower and split and piled everything up for winter firewood in the garage/shop.  Feel good about it.  Well back to work for a few days.

I have a shelf inside the window that is level with the bottom of the window.  I should be able to rest my 20 ga slug gun and my crossbow on it.  Yes I told the wife we will put two sets of our ear muffs in the blind and just leave them there.  On HSO they are talking about Bigfoot so I showed them this as my Big Foot blind.....  lol

Nice job LPS.   :happy1:

Back to the grind stone today and some shed cleaning tonight.  I hit the local trap shoot yesterday evening for a local event at the gun range.  I entered into 2 events and went up against the big dogs with high end skeet guns.  The old Browning left those guys scratching their heads.

I don't know exactly how many times I missed but it was only once or twice.   I just know that I won the prize for both rounds, packages of jerky.   If I was up against either of you I better be blind folded for you to have a chance.

Speaking of fish, be a good morning to go looking for some. Slight breeze, just getting light out, half-moon up high in the sky, and 61* degrees....looking like a nice one! Think I'll rustle up some bacon and eggs after coffee. Enjoy the day, guys!

Man bacon and eggs sounds great.  I am having Capn Crunch.  First time in maybe 20 years.  Tastes great...  Nice morning here too.  I looked yesterday and we are losing 20 minutes at evening and 12 minutes in the morning by Sept 1.  Unreal.  I feel fall fishing getting closer.  One last hot day today and then cooler weather too.
