Morning boys.  It has been a steady -9 here all morning.  May see 0 for the high today.  Just gonna try to keep warm and minimal outside stuff today.  So will grain Bucko and keep the fire going.  Have to keep a close eye on the dogs.  They want to stay put too long and their feet get cold.   Thank goodness that the game hiding on Peacock is the last game.  You can usually do a free week on those channels.  We have done that and then just cancel after the game.  They hope you forget to cancel.  Not sure if we have already done that on Peacock or not.  I will ask the wife.  lol  We will not pay a dime for it.  I bet it does end up being the least watched playoff game in history.  Later boys.

Morning boys. -13 here and I think -4 is going to be the high. We got the woodshed good and full yesterday. Then I went out and augered my holes and turned the heat on. Except the heater would not turn on. Pilot would run, but when I turned it to on. Nothing.  :angry2: So I ran back in and got the sunflower heater and some tools. The valve on the heater has a built in regulator. I took that apart and then it seemed to work. I think I may have cranked down on that to far. It was running when I left. So I will find out when I get out there if it is still working. Hi ho hi ho a fishing I will go. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys. It is -12 here.  Was -14 when I went to bed.  After coffee I have to fix the damper in the garage for the wood burner.  It came loose so I will take off the pipe and fix it.  Should be above 40 in the garage so won't be as bad as JBs environment.  Not a lot else going on today.  Wish football started at noon.  I see not a lot of wind here yet.  It looks like this week will continue with near 0 for the highs and then next week we see a warm up into the 20's for the highs.   :happy1: :happy1: :happy1:  That will be great.  Well you all have a good day.

Good morning, campers. Went out at 6:30 to fire up the wife's car. Realized it hasn't been run since Wednesday. It was -14°F. Winds calmed down a bit during the night.
Anyone else just stare at the sundogs this morning? Nice to watch from the kitchen window with a cup of coffee in hand.
      Stay warm and safe.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Cloudy here this morning, so no sundogs for us. But I do stare at them when I see them. Cool to see.

Mornin' comrades! -12 for a low, -10 at choretime, heading for a high around -8. Ice crystals aloft so it's hazy & there's a halo around the sun. Not as windy this a.m. so it felt tolerable doing the outdoor portion of the chores. Snowplow went by. Were some ugly spots in the road, one north of us where the snow comes off our windbreak. Think I'll fire up the tractor after lunch, clean out the yard, the lot, by the mailbox, put the bale spear on & move some round bales into the lot. By then it should be choretime. That should suffice for one day.  :coffee:

Since I had the cataract surgery I have reading glasses by the places that I read.  Jake has a thing for them.  He just chewed up his 3rd or 4th pair.  The wife said she is glad she buys them by the 6 pack.

Morning boys. -17 here and heading for -3 for a high  the wind was really whipping out of the west yesterday afternoon. Supposed to be more of the same today. Plan is to send the wife off to work and then head out fishing as it gets closer to daylight. Then watch some football this evening. Then I can see how many more picks I get wrong. Lol . Have a good one boys.

Mornin guys, only -13/-31WC here & we could see -2 before the days over. We might see above 0 tomorrow as the wind is s'posed to go WSW. Warmer Wednesday but the wind goes back WNW. Haven't been out except to move snow since Thursday, so I'm gonna try & change that today. No more now, have a good day.

Going to see if I can find some seat covers on Amazon today. Fleet don't have anything but $80.00 each Carhart ones. Mudflaps showed up yesterday, on a Sunday(?) and the new floormats should be here tomorrow. A set of window trim and that should do it for now. BIL is picking me up this afternoon to get the 1/2 ton and bring that home. Get the plow on it and it is ready for snow. May have to dig out the blower and put that on the Kubota today or tomorrow. Not such a big hurry to get that done now there's heat in garage. I love it. Have a great day everyone, stay warm, later..... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  Slept late and it felt good. JB I know how you feel.  Good that we don't bet on sports as a living.  I also did my bets at the Casino in Larchwood Ia. through my brother.   If I would have gotten all of my 6 picks correct I would have won $880.  I don't have to worry how to spend it now.  LOL  It is still -17 here.  Not much wind yet.  Sure looking forward to the games today.  Wish they started at noon.  Well see ya all later.

Mornin' comrades! -15 at choretime heading for a high around -5. It made -2 late yesterday afternoon and w/o the wind, it really didn't feel that bad. Of course, it didn't hurt that I was busy moving snow, hay feeders, round bales, etc. Didn't sit still long enough to get cold. Wound up with about 5.5" of snow for the storm total. Luckily a lot of it ended up in ditches, fencelines, groves, etc. This a.m., trying to get all the tax tables printed off so I can do payroll as well as figuring out how they want Tampon Timmy's new sick pay nonsense reported. Come to find out, people like Auntie Mar Mar will receive less sick time than their original company policy. They're pissed about it and I don't blame them. For me it's just another hassle that amounts to diddly and gives employees another excuse not to show up only now they'll get paid for it. Thanks Tampon Timmy!  :happy1:

I just got in from picking up dog bombs.  They are hard.  Have to give them a little kick. LOL  Man the wind is really whipping too.  The dogs feet got too cold for them to finish the job with me so I let them back in the house.  The wind is really switching directions too.  At least here in our woods.
