Mornin all, 44 here too. Gotta pretty good SE breeze goin already, as well. Some rain overnight not sure  how much as we pulled the rain gauges. 3-5" with 7" total possible & gusts to 40 for us, the Bemidji weather station is sayin. Kind of nice yday pm so I went out :fishing: for a couple hours, found 3 :fish2: willin.  :happy1: Not much happenin here today, so we'll roll with it & see what pops up. If you need to be on the roads today take it easy & be safe. Stay warm & dry everybody. Have a good 1

I took advantage yesterday of a very nice day to spend it in the woods.  Checked trails and cleared a little around a few stands. Also, killed a number of buckthorn bushes.  It's really odd how they can just appear as a big plant one year when you didn't see it the previous year.

This is what I saw hanging out by the cabin.  Three bucks.

Got the red rocket all winterized and put away this morning. I knew there was a reason I saved that old gas grill cover when I bought the new one this Spring....fits like a glove! That's called re-purposing!  :azn:

Good morning all, I have the first 9 pots of coffee made to get started today and probably 12 more to make for the day. It's going to be a beautiful day today @72 and sunny (sorry to those who are getting snow today  :sleazy:) so I'll get in one last round of golf until late march. Not much after that for the weekend except to cut the grass which hopefully will be the last time but probably not. Y'all have a good day and weekend and like my father always said have fun and be careful and if you can't be  careful name it after me.

Man that sounds nice Coffee.  It is 28 here and the ground is white.  Guess I will plug in the horses water fountain today.  Don't want it to freeze.    :angry2:  Darn I am not ready for this cold weather.  Got the pontoon out and may even take the fishing boat out of the water this weekend and turn the floating dock parallel to the shore line so it doesn't get trees on it in the spring.  This all came up fast.  Sometimes we can still fish during deer season.  Stay warm..

Morning Boys. We had 33 this morning but the wind has been just screaming off the lake . The house actually starts to creek the wind is blowing so hard. Our patio furniture which was tucked away on the patio was over in the neighbor's yard. The table came apart in the process. the glass top was actually still in one piece, surprisingly. Was going to go sit in the stand after work, but the way the wind is still howling I will decide when I get home. Plan to bow hunt most of the weekend this weekend. Well, have a good one!!!

Morning guys, 31 with 2-3" on the ground. I don't think the snow really started here until almost 8 last evening & looked to be clearing out by around 3 this morning. It looks like we lost power last night about 11, so the generator is runnin. We didn't have much going on yday so we made run into GR & were back here by~1. Unloaded the car & took quick peek at the radar to see the weather 2 + hours away, so we decided to get the boat off the lake. I'm glad we did :happy1: as that will be the project for today as we have it in the garage. It looked like the deer knew what was comin as we see 4 along the last 10 mile stretch of county road we too k getting home. Stay warm, dry, & if you have to travel early today be careful. Wonder how 57's drive back here from Duluth went last night? Hope you all have a good 1

Morning guy's.  Been busy lately.  Taking care of grandkids and visiting a friend in Wisconsin that I had not seen since high school.  Saw a post from him on facebook.  We will be going fishing next year a few times.  Made more sausage [25 lbs of polish].  Got the camper ready for deer camp.  Was going to go up today but my brother told me to stay home and leave tomorrow morning early.  Have to set up a two man portable.  Also going to check for deer signs and check the other stands.  I hunt north of Duluth so we will have some snow on the ground for sure.  Snowing here in Andover and I guess will be till very late in the afternoon.  Have a safe day and good luck.

Hope you feel better soon there Glenn, last day on the course for the year and couldn't ask for a nicer afternoon just a more consistent round, 93 (52 front and 41back nine). Clubs are away, bike is away and the fishin poles are just about put away for the year so I guess it's time to get the shovels ready  :pouty:but that's a couple of weeks away for us here.

34 here, some snow still falling, about 5 inches of the wet heart attack stuff fell overnight. A few miles away there is ten inches on the ground. Wife had to go buy a couple of shovels forgot we broke them with the last spring snowstorm. Fatal semi crash this morning as a rig went over the side of the bridge and into the saint Louis river. My wife called our oldest son who is a truck driver because that is what mothers do, he is safe and in  Indiana.

Morning fellers. Up way too early again; that's what happens when I lay around for a day due to the crud. Don't sleep well without some exercise. Might get a bit of exerecise today; feeling a bit better...so far. House needs cleaning.   29* out and frozen, crunchy snow and ice. Broke our October record for yday with 2.5" snow.  Looks poopy for the next week too, with rain, snow, and freezing temps off and on. May be screwed on getting the leaves up this Fall, dang it. Lots to come down yet; can't mow 'em up in the snow. I did go and change the oil, plug, and air filter on the Toro yday. Pulled, sharpened and balanced the blade. I keep all those parts on hand, for the blowers too,  so I can do that stuff whenever I want. Figger if there is a chance to do one good last mow/mulch, everything will be ready to just put it away for the year afterwards.
Thinking a ham and cheddar omelet sounds good right now...sausages....and some toast with clover HONEY, Glenn. Have a good weekend guys, stay warm and safe. :coffee:

PS...good luck to those headed out for a deer...be safe!  :Hunter:

Morning.  I'm up also Reb.  Common for me since I'm used to getting up early anyway.  Leaving here in about half hour to drive north of Duluth to set up the camper and put up a portable and the trail camera.  My nephew and my brother will meet me there.  They got the 4 wheelers.  I'll bring up mine next week since I have to pull the trailer up there.  Will be back tomorrow afternoon.  Have a great day everyone.  good luck.

Good morning guys, know how you feel, it's my first day off in two weeks and I was up at 3:10 and down the shop making me my coffee and taking down some supplies at 4:00. I got out of there before my worker came in so he didn't want to sit around and BS. It's 54 here and only going to 58 with rain in about an hour. It's going to be a day on the couch watching college ball all day. Other than that my 76 year old mother that lives with me wants to start her holiday baking so she'll probably poop out half ways through so I'll have to help her finish. I love cooking but I hate baking, I thinks it's because it's to precise and messy. You have to measure everything and you can't just add some of this and a pinch of that and dealing with cleaning up the flour, batter, bowls, mixers and so on is just a pain to me. Y'all have a good day

Mornin guys, 28 & not as windy here. ;) They closed Canal Park in Duluth yday pm too as there was some big wind. Seen some pics already today of 15' waves crashin the shore over there. The boat is ready to hibernate with about 10-15 minutes more TLC. Would like to see a bit more of the snow disappear first. Might start getting the lift ready to come out, otherwise not much going on here. Some college football & World Series action later on. Have a good 1

I've been up since 4. Just puttering around with some small projects like organizing all the 🐦 food.

That's what it was here to Mikey....26

Just had a couple hard boiled eggs and toast with my coffee. Now I'm going to head outside and fill the feeders up.
Later, I'll be hauling the chairs out to the deer stands. And clearing the tree that the beaver dropped across the trail. I think he got lead poisoning, cause I haven't seen him in the last couple days.

Have a great weekend boys!

Morning boys. Have fun RH getting ready for deer camp. 29 here and not going to be much warmer. White on the ground. There is more snow the further inland a person gets. Heard 8" south of Warroad. I am in my weekend office this morning. Beautiful morning too. Not too windy. Seen 1 already. Should be good today.

26 here.  Man quite a cold snap if you guys have the same temp down there.  I got up at 7 and fed the dogs and went back to bed.  It felt great.  Haven't done that for a long time.  Having coffee now with my wonderful wife.  Was our 10th Anniversary yesterday.  We both just wanted to stay home and enjoy each others company and have a nice Fri night at home and watch a movie.  Was great!  Gonna take the fishing boat out today.  Must have 3 or 4 inches of snow on the grass here.  I do see some green grass under the trees yet.
