Ya good luck Glenn.  I had lower back surgery about 25 years ago.  I could tell when I woke up in my room that my back was already better.  I forget that I even had it done....  And they are probably much better at doing them now....   Will be thinking good thoughts for you.  So is it on Tuesday?

Unreal how soon they send you home now.  I  was in for 5 days.  My brother sent me a card that when you opened it up said NURSES LOUNGE.  lol  I of course hung it on my door.  I was single then.  And yes all of the nurses had to poke their heads in and smile at me.  Right before the surgery a really cute young nurse came in.  She was shy and quietly said "I am here to give you an enema".  Here I thought it was the sign that brought her in.  I said "well I haven't eaten since last night as they told me"  Well she had me turn sideways and the enema juice was in a bottle like a Catsup bottle at a cafe.  You know the ones with the pointy top.. Well she proceeded with the embarrassing duty and she sort of stabbed at me and missed the target.  I jumped as it was like getting stabbed..   She said I am so sorry and I said something stupid and she did it again.  Man that was the one and only time that every happened to me and was the worst part of the whole operation.  She said thanks and walked out as quickly as she could.  Of course I wasn't able to line up a date with her.  lolol  GOOD LUCK Glenn....

Crappie fry tonite...gonna have those that Mr. smurfy brought me down. A buddy is headin'  over and we'll make some fries and coleslaw to go with the fish. Looks like some of Boober's CB to go with the eggs this morning...boy, I'm living large, thanks to some great friends!  Have a good one, guys, I need more cawfee...

16 here and may get a couple of inches of snow today.  I may bet to use  my new to me snowplow.  They brought it over last night.  The truck is rusty as heck but the plow is in great shape.  Or so it seems.  Will use the truck as long as I can and then get another Dodge or adapt it to put the plow on the ol Ford.  You are having a great food day Rebs.  Good for you.  And Del what a great looking sunset.  Warmth sounds good to me.  The start of another week, that will take us into Feb.  Man time is flying.

Morning Gents. Yep sounds like 2-4" of snow today. Fished on Saturday and it was slow. We were supposed to cut wood Sunday, but the guys called Saturday night and the skidder had broke down. So, no wood for us to cut. The plan is now for this coming Saturday to start cutting. So, that gave me yesterday to get some things done. My blazer needed a new water pump, so I got that down yesterday. Not much new happening otherwise. Good luck on Wednesday Glen!! Have a good one all.

Well, whoever's responsible, THANK YOU!  Only thing I saw on the milk carton, other than "sunfish", was a torn-off coupon good for a free smurf finger puppet...  :rotflmao:

Don't drink, or you'll never see that once-in-a-lifetime flash. I take it you do know what the "green flash" is.

Yep, I know.   I might have seen it a time or two, but looking at the bright sunset can leave a green after image, so maybe not.   guess I should have put one of them emojiis...

Whew! Had to come up for air again. First, hope everything goes well glenn on your surgery. I can help you rehab here hauling 5 gallon buckets and small square bales. I'll even give you some pointers on how to lift them. Get you right back in shape in no time!  :happy1: Secondly, really wish I could've made the GTG at Rochester. While probably not as thrilling as Reb and I watching the Japanese beetles fornicate this last summer, sounds like a great time was had by all.

Unfortunately we were shearing Saturday and fortunately it was just in time. Our lambing continues way ahead of schedule. We're one-third of the way done now which is weird because most years we don't even start until mid-February. That's usually our normal shearing time. Had another set of black twin buck lambs born yesterday so that was unique. Looks like more on the way soon too so we'll have to stay on top of it. It really does feel good to have the ewes shorn though and makes a shepherd's existence more tolerable.

Always an open invitation if anyone is heading this direction and wants to see some lambs. Most of the heavy lifting is already done so I promise not to put anyone to work. Not too many people doing this anymore. Even the garbage man was curious to see why we were wandering around out there in the dark. Nice guy and Ruby got a dog treat off of him.
