Hi all.  Been busy for a few days here.  Did stop at Culvers and it was good.  I did have the carmel pecan custard that one of you recommended.  Very good.  They were real busy but we manged to get a table and that is a challenge there.  Just got back form Bagley for a Haz Mat seminar.  Seen it a few times but still good with plenty of coffee to keep me attentive.  Ate at Dickies BBQ and that was good too.  Glad it is starting to warm up some.  The sun feels great.

High fellas, lol. Ditch chickens are browned and in the oven with  some heavy whipping cream. Before that a slab o pig belly hit the brine for probably the last round. Finally got to sit down and noticed the front yard was full of Robin's and a bunch more flying around...great sign.

Happy Hump day to all.  about 12 here.  That's not too bad.  My ex wife died the other day.  We have been divorced for years but still talked on the phone once in a while.  She just couldn't put down the cigarettes and got emphysema.  Then recenty she got stomach cancer.  That got her quickly.  Bad way to die though it sounds.  She put lots of salt on everything and that is one of the worst things we can do I guess.  Everything in moderation.  I gave up cigarettes while we were still together back in 87.  Best thing I ever did.  I can't stand being around anyone that smokes now.  One of my best friends has never even slowed down and it is such a shame cuz now I don't like to be around him.  Of course he can do what he wants in his house so I avoid going there anymore.  Too bad......    Well have a great day all and quit smoking if you do.  It is a slow suicide.....

sorry to hear the news LPS, I know what you are saying about the smokes.  I quit in the early 80's, but then started again about 10 years ago.  but I did quit again last labor day so 6 plus months ago.  funny thing is it never bothered me to be around smokers the first time, but this time, hate it!!!  5 here to start the day, sunny out all good so far!!  have a good all!!

9* here this am. Finally going to warm up in swampville. My sump pump finally quit puking out water sometime yesterday, been at it for a week since we got the 1" rain on top of all the snow. Never seen it pump that long. That doesn't bode well for Spring, if the ground is that saturated; which it obviously is. Sure hope it isn't a rainy spring....
Looks like get Mr. Sparkles out of his comfy spot and do some roarin' around today. Need some groceries, and those odds and ends that ya haveta run all around this town for....epoxy, couple qts of oil, tube of thread lock, screen repair kit....

I always put red winged black birds sounds together with Spring.  Well they are here and it doesn't seem right  I also used to always call my dad and tell him.  Kind of a bummer to not be able to do that.

My son has his Junior Gold A state tournament this weekend.  Has his last practice ever tonight and the pre tourney banquet Thursday.  Great time and his team is the reigning National Champions so it's a big deal.  I'd say they have a shot at winning it for sure just need solid goaltending...nothing spectacular just solid.

Hockey is expensive but really having 50 or so games to go to that you truly enjoy is a bargain.  Met so many great folks over the years and a ton of kids I coached too.  Thank God I don't like ice fishing.
