57 here when I went out , it's been a pretty tough bite here since the maflies started hatchin about a week or so ago. We had a little under a 1/2" of rain here last night, it looked like most of it went north & west of us. It was time for our weekly trip to GR yday as we needed a few groceries. Got some laundry in right now & a couple other things on the list for today, so gotta go. Have good day everyone.

Well TGIF.  Man it seemed like along week even thought I had Wed off.  Looks like rain here and I have mowing to do.  Will look like a hay field again.  Oh well.  I don't live next to Rebs so at least he can't get mad at us for not having a manicured yard.     Gonna be cool and wet all weekend so will be safe to trim trees and burn branches.

Morning.  Went fishing yesterday up to Rice Lake near Duluth with my brother.  Brought him a bench that a friend of his made for him that matches his dining room table.  Also 25 pounds of Canadian bacon that I made for him.  Fishing was slow but we did manage 4 keeper walleye's, some crappies, and a few nice bluegills.  Very nice day to be out on the water. Anyone going north on 35w will see a slowdown due to construction.  One long stretch and a short one down to one lane. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.  good luck.

55* and sunny here in Swampville. The big flood watch and storms brought a whole 1.4" rain here. Pounded in my summer shot of fertilizer perfectly. Nuttin' goin' on today, cawfee and a haircut in a bit. Time for the marine buzz cut for the summer. Then I can look like Clint and holler at the neighbors to get offa my lawn.  Have a good one, guys.

Morning people's,  53 here with clouds and a breeze, great snoozing weather. Time for a walk soon , run some errands and get ready for our last grad party later.  We were at one last night about 30 miles from home, good thing I took it easy on the beverages since there was no shortage of law enforcement out n about. Well the pooch just brought me another shoe,  I guess that's my hint to put it on and get going, later fellas.

Good sunny morning guys, it's going to be 80 and sunny here after a day and a half of rain from tropical storm whatever her name was. I already have a coat of driveway sealer on this morning and the new grass is coming in nicely. All that's left is to do a deposit for the shop and hopefully hit the golf course this afternoon. Might try to do another sample of smoked coffee beans which is getting close to being just right with just a hint of smoke. I think if I use bourbon soaked oak that will be the ticket. Y'all have a fun and safe day

Morning all.  Beautiful morning here.  BUT supposed to start raining here about noon and continue through the night till tomorrow morning.  Was thinking of putting the welded up pontoon in the river to see if it leaks......   Then may start trimming trees.  The woods is overtaking us again.  Need to cut some trees and have a fires for the wife.  She like fires.      Here is a doozy of a dream I had last night.  Some friends of mine had many boxes of frozen chickens in a huge safe in their barn.  Boar came over and cracked the code on their safe and took out 5 big boxes of frozen chickens and was going to steal them.  In walks the owners as I was looking at the boxes so they thought I was in on the heist...  I spent the rest of the dream trying to explain that I just got there and had nothing to do with it.  THANKS BOAR!!!  It was so real I almost feel like I should call them and apologize today.
