mornin all, 39 out side going for the upper 60's, that will be nice.  they say we are in a fire danger area now.  apparently all that rain hasn't helped that situation.  going into town for some food and fill the truck with motion lotion, that would be gas....  not much going on so have a good day all!!!!

Mornin boys, quite a bit cooler(42) to start today than yday(55). We made 65 but that wind,25-35 most of the day, made for whitecaps out on the bay. Warmer today & not as windy, they're sayin. MEA weekend so there'e a few more people around. We made the usual Wednesday grocery run into GR yday & just about everywhere we stopped was busy. Warm & dry until Saturday then some rain & cooler temps comin. The Bemidji radio station even had the S word in the forcast for Tuesday with a high in the 40's. Can tell 57 is getting ready to come up. :bonk: ;) :rotflmao: it looks like most of our leaves are down or will be soon, so I can always putz  ;) around there. May jump in the boat again early this am before the wind starts up, otherwise not much else new here. Have a good un

We had huge winds yesterday.  Gusts to 50 and man did that knock leaves off the trees.  Sure looks different today.  It is 37 now but gonna hit the 60's so that will be nice.  Hope the wind isn't too bad so we can try to get a walleye on the Grandson's line.  That would be a hoot.  Don't want to stay out too long and bore him neither.  Having coffee watching deer hunting shows as he makes Lego stuff and the wife is cooking breakfast.  SO it is a great day so far.  They are combining the sunflowers across the where I deer hunt so that should push the deer into the woods more.  My stand is 100 yards from the woods in the picked beans.  I am getting excited for the season.

Hey! I resemble that remark. ;) Morning boys, 50 to start the day here. Heading for mid 70s. Going to go bow hunting after work today. Plan to get some of that done this weekend. Wouldn't mind seeing it cool down a little. I think the deer would move more during the day. Well have a good one all!!

Hope you get to feeling better Boar.  Another great day.  The Grandson crawls into bed with us in the morning so Bob the Cat, Buddy the black lab, Grandma, Grandpa, and Tanner were all cuddling.  What a great time.  We laugh a lot too.  Remember he is 6.  As we all get up since we can smell the coffee is done, he says, "hey Grandpa I just ripped one".    :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:  Never ceases to amaze me what a 6 year old comes up with.  We went fishing for awhile yesterday and the weather was beautiful.  Caught a 25" walleye right away and missed a few too.  Will try again today.  I have a pull behind mower for my ATV that has never worked quite right.  Bought it used.  The belt slips in long stuff and I finally figured out how to tighten the belt.  The whole motor slides back and forth.  Now it works great.  Like a new machine.  Mowed my clover yesterday.  Looks great.

LPS it wasn't quite that windy here yday, probably will be tomorrow though especially up by the Spring Lake store. ;) :rotflmao: :rotflmao: We have 50 & a 5-10 mph SE breeze goin already, sounds like 70-75 for us today. Made it out :fishing: too, caught / kept 3 as they were too deep to let go. Might give it another shot today early, we'll see. Nothing to pressing on the list, so it will be a go with the flow kind of day. Hope you all have a good Friday  :happy1:

Got a ship coming into Two Harbors right now Rebs.

Caught 'em!! Two of 'em! Thanks Barry! Pic and info about the second one that went thru. Got up late today. Went to bed too early, (9:00 PM) so I was awake at 2:00 am and up for a while. Back to sleep finally at about 5:00 am () then up at 8:30. Too late, mornings half wasted. 58* and sunny right now, headed for our last mid 70's day. Yesterday was a DWI day (dealing with idjits) so I'm just gonna kick back and clear my head today. Got a few errands to run, then gonna grill some monster cheeseburglars for dinner. That's about it. Have a good Friday, guys.

Snapped a quick pic off the canal cam:

Springfield XD-9mm Mod.2 sub compact. Has a crimson trace laser sight too. Long story short we stopped a week at our favorite dealer to get a box of shells for her deer rifle and it was sitting on the counter. He had just taken it in on trade. The lady had bought it 2 months ago and seen a sig that she just had to have. So basically a new gun for a screaming deal. If the wife didn't get it I probably would have.
