so yesterday i had my semi-annual physical, and as expected my blood draw numbers were not good!!!!!!!! this is what throws me for a complete loop. back in 2011 when i had my 4 by heart bypass they did an ultra sound, on my veins in my neck which is standard procedure, yesterday they tell me i should have another one done. i asked why, doc said back then the ultra sound showed plaque build up in those veins and should get looked at again.

7 years later....................this is the first i heard of it. he looked back on the records/notes they put in the file, my cardilogist had nothing of the sort in the notes. not sure how i want to procede?????????

on a side note.....anyone else have this my chart setup??????? our healthcare clinic has this setup, of course being a bit skeptical at first i didnt do it, so i decided to try it figuring i can opt out. basiclly its another form of communicating with your medical care provider without calling or setting up an appointment. i like it!!!!!!!!

I similar to yourself had a multi bypass surgery done in (1999). Some years later I had another Angiogram Procedure done (Precautionary). My heart doctor retired and dis new guy had me do a nuclear stress test. The results were satisfactory. Two months later da doctor's office calls and states I need another Angiogram Procedure done. I asked why and they said that they "saw something dat day don't like" on da last test. So, I did anudder one. "All's fine so your clear".

Borgie just went and had da treadmill test. They told her after that she was ok! Butttt, she should have a Angiogram Procedure done since she never had one. Ok here we go again! She gets that done and turns out doc states "she has da cleanest veins in town". Dis was a different cardiologist den mine.

Bottom Line is dat dose guys are all in ca-hoots wid each udder!

Borgies Total invoice for everyting was $15,276.00

So the other thing they gave me was a living will. Anyone else get them, or fill one out? Is it recommended?

Also known as an Advanced Healthcare Directive. Good thing to have...you appoint who you want to do to you what in the event you are physically or mentally unable to accomplish yer wishes. Mayo asks every single patient if they have one filled out. You can change it at any time. 
I do. It says "just shoot me".     Be glad to be in charge of yours.

My neighbor across da streets wife was a Jehovah Witness and he was not. She fell Ill and was hospitalized. They told her that it was critical (life saving) for her to have surgery. He wanted her to have it done. She said no! Meanwhile he told da docs ta do it. They said they can't because she did a living will giving the church da power to choose. So, da church said no go! It was against their religion So she died.

About a year later he told me "my wife wasn't married to me. She was married to da church......."

smurfy, I am not aware that neck artery ultrasound or whatever are "standard procedure" after bypass.   At least I am pretty sure that I didn't get one and haven't yet from Mayo after my bypass.

Morning boys. TGIF. 25 to start the fay here and heading for 31 I guess. I think Lee is right Glenn. Maybe get a second opinion on the matter. Not fun either way. The heart stuff to me is scary stuff. Well, big plans for this weekend are to fish. Hopefully i can get my track truck out there to move my house. Otherwise i may have to get creative and take da 4 wheeler and chain it up. Well, back to paradise. Have a good one boys.

39* and windy here. Woke up at 6:00 am to *THUNK*BONK* on the roof...sometimes skwirrels jump on roof from my spruce right outside the bedroom, it was big chunks of frozen snow letting go from spruce and landing on roof. Can tell the melt is on; watching 5 skwirrels run up and down the "skwirrel highway" fence top right now. Have a meeting with Senior Care place a and SS at 10:00 am; the meeting with my attorney at 2:00. Spent the day with Mom yday, took her out to Wally World to get groceries and such. That was an experience. Some things she's as sharp as ever..."no, this brand is twenty cents cheaper and 3 oz more".... Rest of the day spent at bank trying to get things in place on her acct. Good thing was her three week now missing purse happened to be sitting on table in her house, she has no idea how or where it returned from....all  intact. And after tearing the place apart looking for the much needed safe deposit box key (also missing) she dug around in a jewelry box full of a zillion different keys and junk (one of many full of stuff) and holds up a key..."Is this it?"  BINGO! I now have that....
Hope to maybe try to chill out and rest up this weekend, (have a headache and starting to do the *cough*cough* thing, dang it) if I get thru today OK, and grill a rack of ribs I have thawing out......   Have a good day, guys.

Seriously??! Ya wanna be resuscitated, or just let go??? Depends on the quality of life after it or what "state" you will be in....or if yer 99 yo old, probably DNR at that point.
