Morning boys.  Yup same here. Just like yesterday.  Cloudy chance of showers and in the 50's.  I spackled nail holes in a wall yesterday so will paint it today.  I should have had my glasses on when I taped the edges.  I need to cover up narrow white strips now with paint.  LOL   Oh well I have lots of time.  I may attack the dock pole too but we shall see about that.  I still have to make my peach cobbler yet too.  I have the stuff to do it now.  They only had 2 cans of peaches on the shelves at the store so I grabbed them before anyone else.  Why are they out of peaches Glenn?  Is your store low on them?   Well you all have a good one.

We sat on the deck in the evening for awhile.  Was nice on the north side of the house.  Was misting but not too bad.  As we look north at the river there is a gully to the right.  Past that is a hill the the foxes have their cubs on almost every year.  Must be daughters after daughters for many years.  There are big ground hog holes that they use.  Just as it was getting dusky we could see movement so I got the binocs.  The mother had 3 or 4 cubs that are getting pretty big.  They were running around having fun.  Cooper saw them and he and Jake ran towards them.  I called them back and they came right away.  Surprised me.  They came up on the deck with us and we all just watched the foxes.  How fun.  I suppose it is about 80 yards from the house.  I have snuck up close to them with the Grandson previous years. She may feel safe from coyotes being close to the house.  The dogs are used to her.

Good morning campers. Just listening to the rain and wind. Something nice about that. Looks like my corner of paradise is out of the drought. Rivers and streams are up.
Got most the yard mowed yesterday for the first time this year. Thick and wet.
      Stay safe everyone.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Banquet went well last night. I won a Koplin gun boot on the ticket before the 30-06 was given away. Normal for me. Tire is fixed for the zero turn and was informed the tires on my truck which are 4ply aren't made for 3/4 ton trucks. Some cheap azz put the wrong tires on it. I'll find out next week when I pull the fifth wheel home. If it gets squirrely with the camper I'll have to put new 10 ply tires on it. There goes my May SS check. Going to weld up the new boat trailer guides today, everything got fabricated yesterday. Hope 1" tubing lasts longer than the 1/2" pipe. Later....... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys. 44 and cloudy here. Heading for around 50. Not raining and think the sun is supposed to break thru late morning. Kinda just lazing about having coffee right now. First project will be to put the post down on the dock. Then it will be bring the extension ladder in the house so I can clean the one ceiling fan and do the high up windows. Then bring it outside to do the other side of the windows. Hopefully it is not raining. Then I will head out to the garage and start putting my winter stuff away. Run stabil thru the snowmobiles and get the garage all rearranged for the summer. Maybe even get the boat ready just in case we sneak out next weekend. I can dream anyway. Have a good one boys.

Mornin gang, back south off the border since ~ 11 yday. We left the lake just before 5:30 & we hit Clear Lake just after 11:30. We had some thunder & lightning here about 6 today, even had a power glitch. It came right back on but it knocked the desktop out for a bit & it took 20-30 minutes to get it back working. We have 51 with rain here now, rain should be done by 10 & we should see 57 later. We didn't see very many dry ditches in the 400 miles we did yday. Had 1 buddy tell me that they've had ~ 5.5" here since we were gone but it's been rain 1 day, nice the next, type thing. It was 71 & sunny here yday. 'Bout it here, have a good day.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 45 & raining at choretime, heading for a high in the upper 50's. Still raining but should be outta here ~ 10-ish. So far, .39" of rain at the ranch. Got El Capitan mowed last nite before chores. Really wet down in the bottom of the ditch so had to be careful not to get stuck. The wife had her hen party in Owatonna so Poppy & I were unsupervised. Sapphire supply took a hit. At least I wasn't drinking alone. Was a gorgeous nite. Chorus frogs & toads were battling it out to see which one was loudest. All kinds of bird song too. Just sat & listened a while as the lamburgers were thawing, then fired up the Weber. Unsupervised again today. Need to make a feed run & maybe grab a few groceries, but that's about it. Ta ta!

Just painted another wall in the office.  Now the sun came out.  May be a nicer day than I thought.  There could be a fire in my future.  Man we have boxes of stuff we are throwing away from cleaning up the office.  Feels good to get rid of it.  I will back the ol Ford up to the door to evacuate it all.   :sleazy:

G'afternoon all.  54 and just got done with a cloud burst for a few minutes.  Hopefully it's done with that for the day.

I have some boxes of stuff I also need to get moved to the fire pit and some just plain to the dump.  That will happen at the next "project" stage.   Amazing how fast that stuff just collects.

Have a great day all.

Morning boys.  It is 32 and the frost is melting.  Will see about 66 here today.  I want to get the dock out today too.  I am going to cut a few feet off my longest post this morning.  Don't need that balancing challenge using it that long anymore.  Will feel good to get that done. The next step is getting the boat ready to go.  A buddy is coming over tomorrow and we are going to get the tractor running and ready to sell.  Good ol tractor I just don't use it anymore.  Would rather mow using the SxS.  Have a great day.

Morning boys. 44 here and heading for 55 it says. It made it to 58 here yesterday and they were predicting 49. So I hope we make 60s here today then. Blue skies here to and the sun is shining in the windows I cleaned yesterday. So only a couple of streaks. Pretty good if you ask me. Dock posts are are set. Now we just need some water to come up. About knee deep at the end of the dock. Now today I need to do the outside of the windows. They are a PITA. Lots of trips up and down ladders. My knee is really feeling it this morning. After windows off to do garage projects. Have a good one boys.

Mornin gents, 39 here & we could see 70. The forecast is for 68, but when are they ever right? The rain was done by about 10 like they said but the news last night said we only got .13". I don't think that's right as it rained pretty hard here for the 1st 10 minutes or so. We'll be heading to Marshalltown late this afternoon as he's got an 8:30 appt tomorrow, so we got a room for tonight. It's for the cataract on the left eye this time, it will be nice to finally get that done. :happy1:  No more now, have a great day.

Lenny just got done with his morning zoomies, nap coming soon for him. Not sure what is going to get done around here today, Napcar is at KC which in my opinion is the most boring track on their circuit. May have to look into doing some of the stuff I didn't do yesterday. I did buy an adjustable tint, auto-darkening welding helmet on Friday WITH a magnifying lens in it. Have a great Sunday all, later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! Clear as a bell & 44 at choretime, heading for a high in the mid-60's. Another .33" of rain measured at the ranch from after 7:30 a.m. yesterday when the gauge was dumped. Total was .72" with .68" falling in Bugtussle. May have to see if I can move some poop around the sheep main barn lot. It's a quagmire out there. May get the Stude out again and put some miles on it. Won't be any fieldwork or gardening tomorrow and probably not all week if the forecast holds. Wife may plant some container stuff when she gets her potting soil. May as well take advantage of it. Have a good 'un!

Your soil must really dry out quickly. I don't forsee things being fit to plant for some time here. I had other priorities on the day or two this spring i could have done it. Good Luck!

Yea Roony,  i was surprised yesterday when he tilled it. Was wet not muddy. He didn't have any more ground sticking to his tires  then normal. Even he was surprised.  He made the comment if he killed his it be nothing but mudballs.

Morning boys.b49 here and supposed to make 65 today. We hit 66 yesterday and it sure was nice outside. I got 90% of my winter stuff put away yesterday. Now it is time to get the boat ready. Which isn't much. Should get the charger plugged in to top off the batteries. Otherwise just getting ready to head back to the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  We may see 75 today.  Heat wave.  Got the wall painted another coat, got the dock out, had a nice fire, and I can feel it today.  The Ford is full and ready to go to the landfill.  I still need to get the wood splitter moved so I can get the lawnmower out and ready to go.  The grass is looking pretty thick and green now.  After coffee may have some peach cobbler for breakfast.   :sleazy:   Have a good day. See ya later.

Oh ya we trimmed toe nails yesterday too.  Mine and that means it is also time for the dogs.  Jake is getting real good about it too.  When we are done Cooper goes and looks up at the doggie treat container.  LOLOL  He knows.  AND no I still haven't gotten the wife to trim my toenails.
