Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 46 at choretime heading for a high in the low fitties. .13" of rain in the past 24 hrs. at the ranch. Got the fence at home up and charging properly then got the troughs repaired for the main lot. Ewes were happy to see some grain last nite altho they're already pretty girthy, only not as woolly as glenn's Inger honeys. Got most of the clocks changed except in the vehicles. After chores at both places, filled the birdfeeders. Should probably put a new valve core in the rear tire on the 656. Dripping fluid and that's never a good sign. Will be looking into a couple new rims & replacing the old ones soon. Have 500 lbs. of half weights for each side that will replace the calcium chloride. Enough of that corrosive crap. Right now looking for some breakfast including coffee. Kinda drizzly and dreary so think we'll focus on putzing inside today. Lots I could do if I put my mind to it. After a nap perhaps... :coffee:

Morning boys. 41 here and that will probably be all for today. Strong SE wind coming off of the lake. Weather man said it was supposed to be raining by 4am here so I decided not to go out hunting. Should have known better than listen to a weather man. Oh well, that should get us a head start on getting things done. Got the camper winterized yesterday. Just need to move the fish houses and put the camper to bed for the winter. That will be first on the agenda. Only seen a fawn yesterday. Now it will be onto gun season. Have a good one boys.

Didn't do too much yesterday. I did get the 1/2 ton shampooed out and hopefully the slight mouse smell will be gone today. Headed to one of the kids place with the Kubota today to level out some of the dirt work from his remodel project before it freezes. After that I need to put the sideboards on the trailer and load hide boxes in it for Wednesday. Maybe should pack some stuff for Thursday's trip. Busy week ahead, so more coffee :coffee:, later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  We have a wet 44 here.  Just shy of 1/4" of rain it looks.  We do have some puddles in the driveway. That is how I check the accuracy of our gauge.  Could see some more showers today with a breeze of about 11 mph.  That is the maximum they recommend for a 16' boat on LOW.  Got the water line blown out yesterday so not a lot on the list today.  The wife has some bills she wants me to pay today so that is a fun ride to town for us.  Enjoy the last day of campaigning.

Mornin all, we had 46 on my 1st trip out to the garage & they're sayin we'll see 50 too. Kind of damp out back early & it looks like it's another light mist/fog start for today. Still got a couple lawn tractor batteries that can be pulled, not sure that'll get done today though. Got some other stuff to get me moving & I'll go from there. No more now, have a good day.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 55 at choretime heading for a high in the upper 50's. .78" of rain at the ranch & .90" again in Bugtussle measured the past 24 hrs. Did a bunch of putz projects yesterday. Tossed a bunch of stuff from the garage. Finished setting a few clocks then worked on restocking the rat & mouse bait boxes. 4 outside and 4 inside. Also 4 traps inside. Found a mouse that had expired in the trap under the sink last week. Noticed it was starting to stink in the house when I came home for lunch. Looked for Poppy terds but found nothing. Ate lunch, opened the dishwasher & the smell was pretty intense. Some of the plumbing for the dishwasher runs thru a hole inside the cupboard under the sink. Trap & bait box there. Mouse was flat and as wide as he was long, stuck to the bottom of the cupboard. D'oh! Restocked the basement bait box (empty) & the trap in the basement. Caught another mouse there Saturday a.m. & noticed a lot of chewing on the bait so declared war yesterday. Put out a couple new traps in the garage while I was at it.

Good morning All.   Another misty drizzly morning here.  We could really use some good rain up here. Spent all day yesterday moving dirt and compost in the yard for next spring.  Couple of trees needed cutting down  so took care of those too.  Docks are pulled in so lets get this fall/winter underway.   Back to working on boats today.

I did get my dirt work done yesterday, but didn't get the hide boxes loaded up and ready to go for tomorrow. So that's today's project. Got a call about a mower so I was off to St. Cloud to pick it up. Now I have a mower for deer camp and won't have to load and unload (twice) one from here anymore. It's a JD 165 Hydro with a 38" deck. I'm hoping it will go through the door of the barn without making the door bigger. I checked the serial number on it and its manufacture date is 1987. I might have paid a little too much for it. Oh well, not the first time and won't be the last. Later.....  :happy1: :happy1:

Good morning All
40 here this morning and just looks like it could rain about any time. Looks like 42 is the high for today.  Going to do a bit of tilling this morning and then head to the shop.  I spent all day yesterday just cleaning in there so it should be good to work in again now for a bit.  Drives me nuts to work in a dirty disorganized shop.   Have a good day All!!

Mornin" fellow gulag comrades! 43 at choretime, heading for a high around 44. Another .05" of rain at the ranch & .12" in Bugtussle the past 24 hrs. Repaired the gate the sheep wrecked at the kindly neighbors last nite in the dark. Typical livestock. Find a weak spot and keep working on it until it breaks. This a.m., need to finish a column, proof & spellcheck it, then Another Dr. appt. this afternoon then go vote. Likely wind up getting something stuck up my @$$ twice today!  :embarrassed: At least the blasted ads will stop.  :coffee:
