G'morning All.   We got about 1.5" on the ground and 19 degrees. Temp has dropped 8 degrees in the last two hours.  And WINDY!!   Looks like it keeps dropping today.  Good day to spend in the shop.

Morning boys.  It is 26 and like Scenic said it is gonna drop all day.  We have a good 2" of snow and 3" on the deck in spots.  Can just see some grass sticking up in spots.  What a change.  Will just keep the fire going and suck it up.  Have a good one.

Mornin all, 35 here & we might make it to 36. TWC's site says it's snowing but my brother just stuck his head out of the garage's side door & said it felt more like rain to him. It's quite glenn-like here too. ;) Probably have a little breakfast & head for the treadmill after that. Have a good day!

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 30 at choretime, falling into the mid-20's by choretime tonite. Sounded like  some freezing drizzle this a.m. when I was done with chores but it was short-lived. Got a lot done over the weekend. Saturday I got the bunny guards on everything, got the turkey, etc., & harvested a bunch of dogwood. Yesterday I scrubbed the algae off the north side of the house & finished picking the remaining apples still on the trees. A lot were bird-picked and squishy but there were a surprising number that were in good shape yet. Salvaged half a 5 gallon bucket of Haralsons & a couple dozen Honeycrisp. Along with the SnoSweets I saved earlier, there are plenty for pies, apple crisp, etc. The sheep have been eating pretty well this fall between the ground falls and stuff I picked recently. Have an early column deadline this week so better hit 'er hard!  :coffee:

Ah, I bet that Swiss is good. Have never tried Havarti but reading a little about it, sounds like it might be somewhat Swiss-like. And that's a good thing.  :coffee:

Tossed the plow on the 1/2 ton yesterday. It didn't want to go up so I added some fluid to it and drug it into the garage and let it sit awhile. Went to town for meds and to visit a friend at re-hab at one of the nursing homes. Got home and tore the cover off the plow and now it works. What was wrong? Your guess is as good as mine. No idea. Going to grab hides today, afraid they are going to be pretty stiff. If so the boxes are coming home tomorrow. Trying to put up frozen hides really suks. Later........ :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  The temp is rising and is at 20 now.  Very white here.  Have a few errands to run today and push some snow off the deck.  That's about it and that's ok.  Looking forward to spring.  LOL   Have a good one.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 14 at choretime heading for a high in the low 30's. Finally turned the forced air furnace on yesterday. Figured I'd better vacuum it out 1st in case there were a couple bugs in it. Been running on the floor heat in the new part of the house bleeding into the original farm house. Pretty passive heat, especially when it's windy so eventually you have to bite the bullet. On the list today is getting a haircut, delivery of more Thanksgiving stuff, & taking Poppy to the vet to update her shots. Also get her toenails trimmed. She's an absolute weenie about it even at the vet's office where they have to tag team her to get the job done. After that, I'll make another foray into the CRP to procure more dogwood. There were 2 twigs left in the bucket this a.m. What do women do with all that crap?

One more thing, when I took my 102 year old buddy Lupe for a ride in the Studebaker back on the 17th, I discovered he'd recently lost his driving cap. He'd worn it to Hy Vee at breakfast one morning and forgotten it. When he went back to retrieve his cap, someone had likely taken it. I wore the one I had on that day of our cruise for the very first time. I decided to give it to him. I can always get another one. Auntie Mar Mar took it to him yesterday. His daughter said he loved it.
