I see the Howling for Wolves organization is taking a break.  They only have an annual budget of about $40,000 and they realize they aren't gaining traction so are holding back on any more involvement at least for now.

Man what a day.  We have 34 and the sun is out now wo will get higher.  Got the excavator out and pulled some nice hard elm logs out of the burn pile.  Worked great!  Was fun and got a full load of rounds in the Ranger.  Then plowed the snow away from the pile so it melts all of the snow on it quicker.  The wife started a fire but so much snow on top that it won't spread much.  Felt great to get er done though.  We were thinking tuna melts tonight but with all of you grilling I am rethinking our plans.  Have my bacon out drying and will smoke it tomorrow.  Back the Gophers BB now.

Late afternoon fellow gulag comrades! Started out at 10 above and has reached 34 at the ranch. Saw 36 on the pick 'em up thermo meter over near Bugtussle. Just got back from procuring another 67 bales of hay. Gave the guy a bunch of egg cartons and got a dozen eggs out of the deal. Got home and another ewe had lambed while I was gone. We moved 4 pens this a.m. so another one of those got occupied rather quickly. Will be very few lambs born in March the way it's going. Opened up the main barn and let the yearlings out. Expanded the loafing area for ewes with lambs. Can stop hauling warm water from the house to the main barn. Filled the heated water tank & we'll let 'er buck. Everyone is happier on a day like today. Have more tails, tags & vaxxing tomorrow in addition to unloading & stacking hay. I'll deserve a glenn nap for sure after all that.  :happy1:

I'm waiting on the salt on the roads to disappear before we walk. That's great lps, fun toys to have. Thinking on fishin yet but I'll wait til the houses clear from the area lakes. Well we met the whipper snapper fer lunch, the place was busy, they seated us close to the the kitchen and those warmers were full of food all the time, plates taken and more added. We all ordered the same sammich with different sides. I spotted 3 plates off to the side and they sat their for at least 20 minutes.  Sure enough they were ours. Cold and soggy with hot fries, we did the best we could on em. A manager swang by to check on us after seeing half full plates un touched, I told her what I seen and got, we got charged for just my ice tea. I felt bad but something needed to be said. Still I tipped the waitress well,  didn't have to but hopefully she did some learning today..
