Got in a couple hours ago from moving snow, taking the snowblower off, putting the bale spear on & doing the chores. Cold relative to what we were used to so had my favorite antifreeze: Peppermint cocoa with VSOP. Thawed me right out.  :happy1:

I know I know this gig is usually done outside but just wasn't feeling it. Sooo the pooch had to play fetch down the hallway while we cooked..lol.

As mentioned in the Good Morning thread, I've got a large batch of Range War soup started in the crackpot. It has celery, carrots, onions, and glenn's personal faves the rutabeggars. It also has my world famous secret seasonings & 2 qts. of beef stock. I added cubed beef stew meat after searing & 3 leg of lamb bones I froze after the 4th of July bash. Most of the meat was removed from those but there's still plenty I couldn't get off the bone to give it some flavor. Will let it simmer until suppertime when I come in from chores. I also want to add some barley to the soup but all I have is the quick barley. Think I'll wait on adding that until it's closer to serving it up. I wanted the original, slow cooking pearled barley but not to be on the Bugtussle grocery shelves. :doah: When I've added it before earlier on the barley disintegrates by mealtime.  Everyone wants instant gratification these days...

It sure does!! We had beef stew last night and leftovers today were just as good. Sounds like we're having cottage cheese with a side of spaghetti tonight.. ;)

I like to dip a cheese sandwich with lots of butter in my chili once in awhile.

I really like sticking those Bongards crushed red pepper curds in chili anytime. Gives it a little zing & it squeaks when you eat it. 😋

Finished product tonite after chores. Brandy cocoa & this stuff will thaw anyone out.
