Tomatoes are classified as fruits botanically because they develop from the ovary of a flower and contain seeds. In botanical terms, a fruit is the mature ovary of a flowering plant, typically containing seeds. Since tomatoes fit this definition, they are considered fruits.

my brother goes to butcher shops around the area he lives in and gets it. this stuff came from our old home town butcher shop, Plantenbergs in Richmond Mn. we made about 60 lbs when it was said and done and the seasoning i got was about 2 lbs i think when my brother weighed it!!!!!
