Has anyone attempted using FlexSeal to stop up a hole in water wear?

I just used some flex seal tape on an old fishing boat and it is working great! The tape is about 1/16” thick and very sticky. I think it would work very well on waders. For $12.00 you get 5 ft. By about 3 or 4 inches. I think it comes in clear, black, or white. I used the clear.

Definately clean the surface ofnthe wadders with alchol and even an old intube repair kit will work

I used the flex seal spray and it worked awesome.   I did it on my neoprene waders and it soaked in  very well.  I did 3 coats dew to the tear/hole size.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

Depends on what type of wader. If it's the rubber ones, I used a bicycle tube repair kit (but I bet ya the flex tape would work)

On my neoprene waders, I used a product called "shoe goo"

I've used the Shoe goo before. Great stuff! I haven't seen it around the last few years, needed some 2 years ago, nada.

Last time I bought it, I got it at Maynerds. But they have it on Amazon to...

My main use was getting it room temp, then put a big blob on top of clean battery posts. Oozes down over posts, sealing them. No more corrosion, and if ya haveta, booster cables bite right thru. Works great on Kamik snow boots, too.  :azn:

I've got a pair of insulated canvas waders I ought to patch up before it gets too cold.  I discovered the hole last spring somewhere up around knee level.  Brrrrr.   :censored:

Thank you esteemed panel. I have used everything and wore out everything in the past. except the flex seal. I even carry aqua seal in the truck as a staple year round. the two part kind.
