1.08" officially at the ranch and .30" in Bugtussle overnight. We've got a 40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms today again according to NWS. Winds are supposed to pick up to 20 - 25 mph gusting to 35. Should help dry things up, if it doesn't rain again that is.

It rained hard here yday afternoon 3-4 times, but it never lasted very long. I found only ~ .1" in the gauge this morning.

That brief hard shower at supper time yesterday didn't amount to much, about .06". Bluebird skies and breezy now. About 10 days of this would be about right.

got that right. I just dug/ thinned out some flowers in the wife's flower bed to transplant at the cabin, there's by far an abundance of moisture in there.

Decided to put another dose of burndown on the main garden after chores last nite. Crabgrass was 3" - 4" & like sod in places. Will use the same tactic as last year for the vine crops. Only till in strips and allow them to do their thing for weed control. Parts of the garden contained primarily redroot pigweed and purslane so will be nice to start with a clean slate once we get at it. Luckily we dodged the rain last nite so could get at some of it tonite. Poppy is in charge of bunny patrol.

I was told long tome ago by the people that own the store this area typically gets what Bemidji gets, so I pay more attention to a Bemidji radio station.

Lotsa guys trying to finish up corn spraying while some are going after the soybeans where they didn't get any pre-emerge herbicide on. Still garden to plant here  but made a purty good dent in it this a.m. Hopefully we can take the under with this forecast. Some potential for severe weather altho so far it appears to be skirting more to our north this forenoon.
