I have about 25 tomatoes to freeze today.  Just rinse them and then put in vac bags and just pulse till the air is out then seal them.  Throw in freezer.  JB told us about that a few years ago.
Speaking of vacuum sealers, if you had to pick a favorite brand or model, what would it be? Hope I'm not hijacking a thread, here.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

We bought that Food Saver that was on the infomercial about 10 years ago.  Still using it and works great.  It is the only one we have ever used.

I still haven't bought a slicer.  If I had one I would think of ways to use it too.

The tomato program.  The peels fall right off when you thaw them out.  I use 1 pkg per pot of soup.

The pans are sprayed with pam. When there froze I nuke them for a minute. That's enough to loosen them from the pan.

Then take a heavy duty knife and bust them up into chunks, bag'em up and stick back in the freezer.

When I want some take what I want out. I add them to hotdishs, chili and spaghetti sauce.

I froze 2 more bags of maters.   :sleazy:  We really like the Early Girls.  Nice fairly uniform shape so they are easy to freeze.

no. When I make salsa I do skin the tomatoes.

I strictly use those for what I stated earlier.
