Ya it was good while it lasted. It was overcast by noon. Some showers in IA could show up here by mid-afternoon if they hang together.

Funny how we go from draught conditions to being to wet.   :doah:  Well I guess the Skeeters have to have a place to lay eggs.  :pouty:

Rack up another .55" of rain here last night. Nice light show for a short time and the thunder didn't bother the dog.  :happy1:

1.03" at the ranch & .74" in the Bugtussle gauge. Totaled rainfall up for April. 3.82" at the ranch & 4.73" in Bugtussle. Add the .178" & 2.33" respectively from March to those totals and it paints a picture of a soil moisture profile that's full while making some headway on climbing out of the hydrologic drought we were under. Shallow wetlands are full again, rivers and streams are running full with lake levels starting to recover somewhat. Yep dutchy, it was fun while it lasted without the mosquitoes. They'll be back with a vengeance I have a feeling.

Huh...wouldja lookit that? There's a blob on the radar down in IA working its way this direction! Might be some showers in an hour or so... :doah: Thanks mikey! :rotflmao: At least it's not supposed to snow because Barry said it was done snowing over a month ago... :rotflmao:

Just checked the gauge. Another 1.2" here. Ok, time to start praying for sunshine, the drought is over.

Had 1.14" in Bugtussle ~8:15 a.m. and .94" at the ranch at 7:30 a.m. Some showers still passing thru as of 10 a.m. We'll have some leftovers to measure for tomorrow. Talking to my buddy on Beaver Lake, he said it looks like the lake has come up ~5". The drought is indeed over, at least for now.  :coffee:
