boilermakers!!!!!! welding, pressure vessels. power plants. i am in charge of our 8 shops. they do everything from build power line poles, build stainless steel vessels, structural steel, bridge gerters, tanks for the oil fields, and at one time the stuructural steel for ethonal plants,paper and mining repair work and build skid steers!

our feild guys work in power plants oil refineries and starting to get into the sugar beet plants!!

'mornin'! Another batch of showers overnight to slow down progress this a.m. .12" at the ranch and .15" in Bugtussle proper. Had a little guest in the office this a.m. Thought there was a piece of crop residue on the floor until it started crawling. Was a small ribbon snake about 8" long. Cute little fart so I captured it and let it go outside. Hadn't seen one in years. It's such a mess in here it just kinda blended in.

Good morning, starshine!!         46* and windy.....

Peace and Love to ya Rebs.  Those were the good ol days.  And all of the chicks were beautiful.  I remember it well....        Well java and a banana is breakfast this morning.  High of 42 here for today.  Things are changing fast now.  We may do a last weekend of using the camper on Sat and Sun.  Either that or just give up and winterize it.  Hate to give up but we can't fight mother nature.  Well we can fight it but we will lose eventually.  We love where we live.  Nice and quiet here on the river.  The highway runs by us but it is 200 yards from the house and I moved in 39  20' tall spruce trees about 9 years ago.  They are starting to block things out nicely but still not completely.  Well I just learned yesterday that the power line construction company wants to create a 43 acre production area across the road from me in the farmers field.  It will be where all of the job trailers and equipment will be parked and there will be 24 hour a day workers there doing 12 hour shifts.  That sucks big time.  It is not zoned for that and they want a variance.  My neighbor is a councilman and he doesn't want it there neither.  Also it is on a dangerous curve in the highway and will make accessing the road with big trucks dangerous.  If it was moved a half mile south on the same property it would be much safer and I wouldn't have to see it or hear it as much.  Expected to be there for 4 years.  Looks like I will be attending some meetings.  Maybe they will give me $10,000 for compensation for the inconvenience and eye sore.     Maybe we can stage a camp in and all of you guys can show up with your campers and we will have a party there till they cave in.  I will buy the beer....    Well on that happy note have a great day all of you.

bummer barry but ya never know what that may bring into yur life. thi gs happen for a reason. hang in ther. thingas are changing fast, hope to get my deer platform finished this weeeknd, wife and i are going out sat for our aniversery. got window stuff to do getting busy, but then it will.slow.down and be hard water utopia. have a great day guys!!

Morning fellers! Man what a difference a day makes. Cold rainy and windy down here in red wing. Sure wish I could shake this bug I got!

I got the bug also including my wife so we are not alone.  I like the word sidetracked because that word seems to stick with me daily.  I was going to say "change".  Not only in the Whitehouse but the change in season.  I love fall.  I've been having deer camp on my mind daily.  looking at my orange a lot lately and ready to hang it outside in a couple of weeks.  Don't think I ever washed the orange.  Working on my campers furnace.  Got the pilot light to work but when I turn it on the flame goes away.  No mechanic but I'll take the cover off and check it out.  My wife know my ability to fix things and the first thing she asked me was "did you turn the gas on" LOL>  good luck.
