Looks like Rebs will be over at the neighbor ladies for a few days.  They will not get that job done on a Friday.  No way.  It will have to wait till Monday.  SO he will be slinking over there after dark when the other neighbors won't be able to see him.    Hey I just see the Cards won last night.  That is who I picked in the work pool.  I hope Butt Kapernick didn't get to play.  I only watched till halftime.  Well I will check in later.

LPS, is slinking the word of the day? I will use it in a sentence.  Glenn had to utilize slinking maneuvers to escape Reb's wrath.   ;D

Well it was just another day at the shop.  The wife called this afternoon and her jeep was leaking oil at a constant drip.  So when I got home I took a look and saw either the oil filter or the adapter.  So I picked up the O ring kit and a new filter.  I get home and start in and of course it takes a T60 torx socket and I only have up to t50 in my set so Off to find one.  Well I get everything taken apart and put back together and it looks like the problem is fixed.  Did a little training with the new pup and I think we have sit working.  Well have a good weekend fellas.

Morning guys! Back in Ia for a few days, maybe a week. Sounds like they had a tornado touch down a few miles away & a 9" rain in a 24 hour period that led to some pretty major flooding that you might have seen on the news while we were at the lake. There doesn't appear to be much damage here.Windy & cool yesterday, a little nicer today & back to near 70 by Monday here, is the forcast. Have a good weekend everyone

Mornin'.  I have to work today again...  36 here this morning and supposed to be cloudy and windy today.  I feel for those fishermen that come up and have to deal with the wind that seems to blow non-stop this year.  Will be from the south tomorrow and up in the 50's so maybe I can get out after the Vikes game.  Hope we can keep up the pace with the Texans.  Go Vikes.  Having Raisin Bran Crunch this morning since I can't make a Reb style of breakfast with not enough time before work.  Actually this is pretty good stuff.  I am wondering if Rebs is belly crawling back home right now before sunrise so the neighbors don't see him.  May be hard for him to type without one arm.   :rotflmao:  Let's make that the words for the day:  belly crawling....     :rotflmao:  OR should it be : coyote arm?    Well maybe she has him tied up and we won't hear from him today.  THAT would worry me.   Well I will check in later.  See ya.

It was noted after Glenn's wife said "I'd like to go somewhere new for dinner" and he said "try the kitchen once", he was seen belly crawling past her later to get an ice cube for his eye.

34*, clear, and frost on the roof tops. Have a fun day guys!   :party1:

Frost here in the south...  Gotta stand outside for 90 min while the 8 year old plays flag football, but hard for a deer hunter to complain, I guess.  Then to the Hockey arena for 2-hours of Mites clinic for the same 8 year old (he's gonna be wiped-out) and learn-to-skate for my 5 year old.

Wife leaves this morning for a week long conference in the Big Easy, she'll chose to come back if I'm lucky. ;)  So I'm captaining the ship all by myself for the week.

Gonna try to hit up Fleet Farm to get myself new Deer Hunting Jacket and my son a youth harness and possibly some new youth orange if his old stuff doesn't fit him anymore. First time he'll be in the tree stand with my this year rather than hunting on the ground.  Little nervous about it, but got the new double-wide stand up last week, it's secure and should work fine. Gotta make sure we get some good daylight, pre-season tree stand safety practice in before the season starts.

That sounds like a great plan 78, always important tree stand safety. I can honestly say that I  have misstep'ed and landed on the ground. So now, learning from the school of hard knocks, I wear a harness.

Bow hunted last night, was a great evening in the woods. Didn’t shoot nuth'in, but was relaxing.

Junior made it through customs while I was out. He is keeping me posted as his trip to Manitoba is going.

Slept in today, making eggs over easy with toast and coffee. And got some thick cut pork chops in line for the grill later.

Have a great day boys!

Little shilly this a.m. 32 on the ranch thermo meter with 32 at the Waseca airport as well. The one here tends to read a little warm and we live on a hill so we're a little warmer anyway. I got a girl who lives on the hill, she won't do it but her sister will when she boogie...lol

Looked like one of them games in the days of yore when they'd pass the girls up on top of the crowd at Memorial Stadium. Tough to do that now. We had seats on the 50 yardline right at the top. We'd always give them a drink to keep them from becoming dehydrated (sloe gin and 7-Up usually) before we'd send them back to their seats.  :happy1:

Ya I always liked that tune.  I even like it better now.  Well Vikes day today.  I am heading into town in a while to get me some country style ribs to put on the smoker grill.  I have been a little dissapointed in my ribs lately.  Either over done or something.  I think I better do them a little less heat this time.  Been awhile since I have done CS so I am thinking maybe I will put them on at 225 and let them go for a couple of hours and then foil for an hour and see what they look like.  May put some sauce on them during the foil.  Any ideas invited.  I hear lots of shots from goose hunters this morning.  No bucks on my trail camera so not to excited about sitting yet.  They will come sooner or later.  Short weekend since I had to work yesterday.  And with football today it won't be too productive but will be a great day anyway.  A beautiful 35 degrees out.  I may try to get in the boat for an hour before the Vikes play.  Have a good day all....

'mornin'! Got a couple lbs. of lamburger thawed out for sometime today. Frosty start again this a.m. Temp gauge said 32 just like yesterday but seemed like frost stayed on longer. More of that frosted plant odor in the air as well. Will know in a few hours what impact it had. Picked most of the grape tomatoes Friday night so nothing it could really hurt. Still kinda hate to see the flowering plants come to an end for the season. Vikes at noon so hopefully the dew comes off so I can mow some first. Maybe a cruise on tap after the game. Need some tincture in my coffee to warm up in the meantime.  :happy1:

LPS.....just a note on what I do with CS ribs, the ones I cook more than any other.  I Always soak them in concentrated apple juice in a zip-loc, or some fresh apple cider overnite. I then throw 'em on the grill with a good head of smoke at around 250*. Flip them 3 or 4 times. They go for about 30 mns, then I brush my bbq sauce on for last  20 mns of cooking, turn heat to about 300*, and then I hit the heat to about 375* for last couple minutes to get that sauce glazed. They come off at about 160-170* internal. I then cover with foil and let them rest for about 15 mns.  Always been tender and juicy for me this way.... ;a

Watching a good first half of the Vikings game and then I'm hoping to finally get to the stand of the wife gets back soon enough from her shopping trip.  I have to pick her up when the bus gets back.   She might get a little hot of I wait until after the hunt.   If not I'm going to spray the yard for weeds

The day started with an early morning wake up call for an emergency at work.   The rest of the day was normal.   The evening meal was last night's left overs.   Worked with the pup tonight on here and sit.

Morning all!!! Up and at 'em! 56* and light rain...good for MY YARD...$#@!% The "rejuvenation crew" from the gas pipeline company arrived at 8:30 am yday morning, and got right to work on my yard, in an attempt to bring it back to a semblance of it's previous glory. Two pretty decent guys; they did follow what I requested they do. (And yes, I was right out there with them) Boulevard area abutting my slab was always about 3" higher than my slab and sidewalk, making mowing and snowblowing a pain, as you always had to deal with that big edge. After filling the huge hole they had dug for the new pipeline, the dirt was now up at least 6" over driveway slab. I had them remove two buckets of dirt and slighty grade the boulevard abutting my new cement slab that was poured for me with the b'cat bucket. It now slopes to meet the slab  evenly following a slight grade down from the center tree. Had them level and fill low areas on other boulevard side. Couple inches of new topsoil was then spread over all, then entire area was seeded and raked smooth. Finished with a good blast of hydro-seed fertilizer/mulch mix. Good to go.
Now that the yard and my rec room are restored, all my painting and varnishing is done, I think I may grab the fishing gear, pack a lunch, and try to find a quiet spot up along the river for some well deserved Fall fishing. Looking to be in the 60's later this week, with a slight west wind and clear skies. That sounds like fishin' wedder to me.....have a good day, guys!  :happy1:
