Thanks Barry. That's the prob with the lazy, shiftless 35 yo idjit next door. It's all he can do to barely get it mown once a week. They've lived there three years and it's turned from a nice yard into a weed-infested overgrown mess. Won't even rake up leaves. Said he's too busy. 9-5 job, M-F. I told him that ain't a job, it's a friggin' vacation. Sits in the house with his non-working fat wife and does nothing. Never comes outside. What a life. The new NL on the other side is nuts about her yard looking perfect...so that works out well. Ahem.  sleazy-422.gif

I thought you were going to meet with Ardele to straighten him out about running the city?    What's with all the lawn stuff?   

If I can keep the thistles out I am happy, although I haven't given up on the creeping charlie.   So far not much works.   Maybe my timing is off.

Holy bejesus Thats all concrete!! confused-3316.gif Lets see da lawn!! I got 1 an 1/2 acre mowed lawn an this year lots goin to polinater/Butterfly garden, Just a start to go back to non fertized mowin hassles an some natural growth like dandylions milkweeds flowers an da such!
 How many acres or SQ FT.you makin purdy Reb?

Del Have you tried the Borax route for charlie? I did it in the city on a tiny 50X 75 lot an wiped it out. BUT to much that cant dissipate isnt good an to little wont work! A small 2 ft X 2ft trial area>>If it does the trick next year do it everywhere

Just a measly  11,650 sq ft. Enough for me to try to take care of. Years ago it wan't a prob. Now it is.

Ya Thats the same reason We're plantin natural garden an quittin mowin.You gotz about 1/4 acre. We' like to get to that for mowin here even wit the veggie gardens asparagus an berry patches Its gettin old that much mowin 2 riders 2 push mowers.Let it go to weeds of our choice an I can fish more!! I hurt so bad after just bouncing on the rider it about kills me! ( A friend mows the front yard and sides for me)
That munchkin ain't no 6'2"!!! He's gotta look up to me, and I'm a crippled up saggy 6'1!!!   Maybe less after the spinal surgeries.....they shrunk me!

You the man Glenn.   The kraut recipe I used says to start tasting it after 3 days and is usually fermented by 10 days.  When I tried it last night it tasted like salty cabbage with just a little sour.  Will let it go for a few more days and try it again.  7 here this morning.  Have a nice warm fire going in the garage so the truck will be nice and toasty.  Warming up from here on out is what they say. The wife made me oatmeal this morning with brown sugar on top.  Now I am suspicious.     Wonder what she has up for me tonight?????  Too much Fireball last night???   lol  Kidding, hope you feel well soon Jeff.
