Mornin all, 26 here & we're looking to hit 43. No rain or snow here yday but the grass was a little crunchy yet when I went out to the burn barrel early from Friday's precip. Glad we stayed above freezing while we were getting that. Pretty sure we'll be going for a paper here in a bit as we decided not to get 1 last weekend. 'Bout it here, have a good day.

I finished tuning up the skid loader bucket yesterday. It fits nice and tight now, no more flopping around. Don't know what I'm going to do now. Maybe put that enclosed trailer back in garage and start in on that. Replace a couple sheet metal pieces under the floor, replace fenders with correct ones and try to buff out the surface rust around the screws holding the sheet metal on. Might even Waines coat the bottom too with 16ga aluminum diamond decking. Some rusted out holes in the walls. Later...... :happy1: :happy1:

Morning boys.  We have 27 and like a broken record could see 39 again today.  I did see it hit 40 yesterday.  Man Mark, you may have to go into business fixing things you do such a good job.   :happy1:  Good to hear you are progressing nicely Scenic.  It keeps getting a little browner here every day.  That will help it warm up eventually.  I see we have a breeze here but not bad yet.  Man did my jerky turn out great! I was a little short of liquid volume when I mixed up the brine so added a jag of apple juice.  Worked great.  Now I have quality snacks for awhile.  Watched the Twins lose yesterday.  Not sure what to do today.  Will have to figure that out as I go.  Have a good one.

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 34 at choretime and that's prolly gonna be the daytime high altho it was still 37 after midnite. 1.43" of rain the past 24 hrs. at the ranch. More to the north in roony's country looks like after reading the rain gauge reports from that direction. Almost 3" near Owatonna in the one gauge. Have a visitation today sometime. Still awaiting my marching orders from the social director. Hopefully she pins a note on my shirt. Tonite after chores we're going out to supper with some friends to celebrate birthdays I guess. Hoping I can squeeze in another nap like yesterday only today I'm going to tell the wife to turn the ringer on her phone off. I had a real classic going until that damn thing rang...

Morning boys. 21 here and heading for 34 it says. Had fun ice fishing. Not a lot of keepers but caught some fish. Pulled the little skid house up on shore last night. Will use portable for the rest of the season. Otherwise just another day in the salt mines. Have a good one boys.

Morning boys.  We have 19 and may see 37 today.  At least it freezes the mud overnight.  Had to bathe Jake yesterday.  He is lower to the ground and has that long hair hanging down so he is like velcro to the mud.  Cooper comes in pretty clean.  ??  It is a slow melt this year.  The warmth from below should be pushing up soon. No big plans for the day and that is fine with me.  Have a good one.

Sat up and watched 5 episodes of1923 last night until 1:00. Late start today. Still not sure what is going to happen today. Think I'll take the SxS and mower out of the trailer and mess around with the mower during this upcoming snow event. Still not sure if I want to keep that mower at deer camp. May shine it up and set it at the end of the driveway with a For Sale sign. Later...... :happy1: :happy1:

It often takes 2-3 days for them to get CR 35 back in good condition as it gets enough traffic early that it gets snow packed. Glenn's girlfriends don't like to stay home much.  ;) :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Mornin' fellow gulag comrades! 23 at choretime, heading for a high around 40. .39" of liquid equivalent precip from yesterday including sleet, snow, rain & graupel. Still melting out the Bugtussle precip. Went to what turned out to be a funeral rather than a visitation yesterday. A little odd but we got thru it. It was raining & about 34 degrees so didn't go to the cemetery. Got home and it changed over to sleet then & by choretime it was all snow. ~2.7" was what finally accumulated. Decided to take a rain check on going out last nite. Would've been a 30 mile hike on snow packed roads. This morning the co. blacktops were a fright. Was hoping after the rain it had washed the salt all off. They spread sand & crap on them this a.m. again so won't be getting the Stude out anytime soon.

When it got into the 80's on Friday afternoon there was an absolute roar from all the bikers out and about. Got purty quiet all the sudden... :whistling:

Good morning.  Clear and sunny here but only 26.  Making ice out there.  Have a few things I want to get done today.   Need to sand the back of a Lund Tyee so I get that painted.  Have to love roller chairs.  That will pretty much take care of my day.   Have a great day!

Got word that gas prices went up 50 cents in Waseca overnight. Wtf! We will fill up in Bugtussle on the way home.

Hmmm...just made the trip to Krause's at Hope. Picked up a bag of milk replacer, got my official Krause's hoodie & bacon cheese curds. Gas was $2.89, same as it was last week. Like Krause always sez, it's who ya know! 😉

I've noticed the Waseca gas prices are often much higher than here.

It was 297.9 in Bugtussle half an hour ago. 329.9 in Waseca is what I was told. Paid 263.9 in Missouri earlier today.

This is something I was wondering the other day when I was thru Waseca roony. How does Waseca with a population of around 9200 support 2 Casey's and isn't it 3 Kwik Trip locations now? Plus, I think there are 2 or 3 other gas stations as well? When we were in the interim before the WWC came to town, we were down to the Cwop CC gas outlet. Granted Bugtussle is only about 1200 pop. but it's always struck me as odd to see all the gas stations around Waseca.

We lived in Albert Lea when I was a junior/senior in high school so 71 - 72.  Gas was cheap as heck for my 64 Impala.  Something like .26 a gallon and people would drive to Blue Earth to fill up since it was so much cheaper.  Appx. .19 gal.  Probably about 25 miles???

As long as they have great gas station pizza in the Fall , I don't pay attention to fuel prices..lol. Although I just used my Cub foods reward and got mid grade fer 2.10 a gallon. Sad, but felt pretty good!!

I was driving a 65 Bel Air in those days with a 283. It hugged the road pretty well.
