Mornin boys, 21 for our start, they're talkin mid 40's here. South wind for us as well but only about 10 mph.It sounds like there's a road trip to Waterloo in the plans for today. That should kill about 1/2 the day as we have 5-6 stops down there we hit every time. Not much else new here. Have a good hump day.

As Boober would say, good aftermorning, dudes.  :azn: Got my few items at Walfart, then after a quick braunschweiger sammich, headed out in search of my xmas present. That $#@! Barnes and Noble, did NOT have one single book I wanted to get myself. Not even one in stock of any of Kenny Salwey's books.....! I have all but one of his. Tried for one of Sigurd Olsons....nope.   $#@!% I DID spot two of Helen Hoovers, Years of the Forest, and A Place in the woods. Grabbed both. Surprised they're still in print. I have the original hardcover Gift of the Deer of hers, a xmas present to me from my Dad way back in the 60's. One of my most treasured books. We used to have another really good book store here that always seemed to have what I wanted, but like a lot of places in Glitterdome MAYOland, it closed and left town. Not impressed with B&N. AND, my 20% off gift card...."Oh, that applies to just ONE item".... $36 for two soft-cover books......  I went across the highway and grabbed myself some goodies at Trader Joe's to munch on while I read.

Nope, I don't. I like adding real ones to the library. It's quite big, really. Something about an old book you've read many times, it's an old friend when ya pick it up. I was brought up to have lotsa respect for a good book. I've got lotsa first editions and autographed copies. Try THAT with an E-book.  ;)

Morning boys. TGIF!!!! 30 and hardly no wind this morning. Heading for mid 30s today. Boy not used to this full 5 day week. I did not worked a full week the whole month of November. Deer season certainly puts a hurt on my PTO bank. Time to start building it back up. Have a good one boys.

Yes JB it did take some endurance to get through this week.  I have to work tomorrow too but only a half day.  Then hopefully it is not too windy and I can put my new tarp on the "garage in a box".

Being I am not muzzleloader hunting this year, I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and put all the deer stands to bed for the season.  This involves removing cushions, pads, chairs, loosing straps and securing haul lines.  The swamps were frozen so it was nice to travel across without worry of getting stuck.  I also marked a new trail that leads to a spot I intend to put a stand next fall (maybe even this winter if the weather holds).  I watched 5 deer pick their way across the ice on a frozen swamp.  They were being very careful not to slip and break something.

Might be one here...my "radio signal" clock time just jumped ahead one hour......wtf?! Time signal comes from Ft Collins, Colorado. Did I just move into the Twilight Zone (Glenn zone), or did Trump just change the time zones, too?!

Operator malfunction my azz.  YES DEL. It's been fine all year. Untouched.  Fine tune yer crystal ball. It's wrong. Do some reading; certain radio interference commonly can make the time incorrect on this type of instrument.
