Speaking of fixing things, I'd like to fix someone at Century Dink!  :happy1: Spent (wasted) somemore time today trying to see what the problem is. Last attempt working with their stupid chat help thingy had me unplugging the router from the modem then dicking around with it, and that got me nowhere. Should've probably called Hillary for some pointers. A friend and neighbor is beaming Ltd broadband off his grain leg and if there aren't too many trees in the way we should be set. Will call them tomorrow. Incidentally, I decided I'd buzz into town and see if my Century Dink internet worked there. It does (on it now) and with the exact same router and modem as at home only running 10M vs. 3M at home. Imagine that!

Some bad luck in the lambing barn last night. A couple weak lambs born about 45 minutes after chores. Tried everything but they were just not with it and cashed it in. Same problem with the ewe lambing last year so she will be making an early exit after the rest of our lambing festivities are over. Now I gotta work on paperwork for a group plan that maybe, just maybe will get our healthcare costs back down to near where they were last year. Not holding my breath. And people wonder why I like to take a nip every now and again... burp-402.gif

Well the start of another week is upon us.  It is not so bad since the weather is tolerable.  Still have knee deep snow in spots here but it has really gone down on the yard.  The lasagna was a big hit.  The best batch I ever made.  I did go with cottage cheese, we all like that over the other stuff.  I added mushrooms and onions to the meat sauce.  Other than that is was pretty much Dels recipe.  Have to ad lib a little.  Will be eating that for a few days now.  Then will vacuum pack a chunk for later.  Kind of fun to do that too.

Yep, back to paradise today. The snow really went down out on the ice. Think the rain really put the hit to it. The breaker out front was about 5' tall when we got home on Friday. The neighbors had to do some work on it to get back in. Happened while they were out fishing Friday. Still could use some work. No way to get a fish house thru it right now. Not wide enough. We have time to get that taking care of though, Hopefully. I was happy to see the Packers get thumped yesterday. It should be a good SB. Two high scoring offenses. Well, have a good day.

Heading to Duluth Friday for a hockey tournament for my son's Junior Gold A team.  Haven't been to Duluth for a few years and always love the town and claim I'm going back soon and never do.

The wonderful world of divorce is getting closer to reality.  Wife is moving out of the house February 1.  Complicated situation slightly and she thinks I "won" by staying in our house but ideally I wanted to move to cabin and it seemed to be working out with the kiddos but I guess I've got to plant my rear end here for a while.  It seems my kids are doing pretty well with everything in general.  I've talked to them often about things and I'd say of the four of us they're handling this better than mom for sure and maybe even me.  Anyway, the kids are the priority.

I went squirrel hunting yesterday.  Simple Metro hunt on private land.  Squirrels won.  Embarrassing for sure.

Smoked ten whitefish this weekend and made a batch of venny sausage.  I've got 5 neck roast left and I believe one will bite the dust this week.  Have a good one fellas.

Good for you LL. You can shoot some of my pet squirrels. Corn fed along with anything else they can find. Their YUUUUUUUUGGGE! :happy1:

Got my healthcare paperwork sent then made the call to Ltd Broadband to get new internet service installed for next Tuesday. Have to pay a $99 install charge and get another router for $60 but after that it's $30 a month with no contract. Can quit any time I like if I find something better/faster/cheaper. Speed is the same, 3M only it should actually run that fast according to those who are using it. Century Dink would top out at about 1.5 even though you were paying for 3M. Inquired about Jaguar as well but they're slow about getting back to people. Locally their service is fine as long as the system is working but when it doesn't, sounds like that's been the rap on them.

Man I sure miss those tourneys in Duluth LL, hotels full of parents and players usually from the same town whooping it up and watching hockey , then again I used to be one of those players watching parents having too much fun. :toast:. Good to hear your getting Internet turned in your favor dotch, things are never easy it seems, I usually hand the phone over to the Mrs and say I gotta poop so she can stay on hold  :happy1:. Speaking of squirrels, I just yanked most of the Xmas ornaments out of the yard ( since I can see it now) and them damb varmints chewed through candy cane wires, we just might be having squirrel something or another for dinner soon.

Morning Boys. OH boy tree rats. Don't have many of those in our neighborhood. Must not be enough nuts in the hood. 25* to start the day here. Snow was a little crunchy this morning. Will be good to freeze things back up again. Little to early for the spring thaw in my book. Not much new here. Have a good one boys!

When I was younger 2 buddies and I lived in a real nice big ol farm house on the edge of town.  Nice houses were across the street in the newer neighborhood.  Everyone fed birds so there were lots of squirrels around.  We had huge trees in our yard opposite the other houses.  We put corn out for the squirrels and would shoot them out the kitchen window and clean em and put them in the freezer.  We ate them all.  At times we had about 20 of them in the freezer.  One time the neighbor guy said we are all wondering where all of the squirrels have gone.  I said nothing....    confused-3316.gif

Mornin'! How much of that Fireball did you have Boar? Great squirrel story LPS. I usually talk about shooting them more than I do but one year after they'd chewed up a "squirrel proof" feeder my patience had run out. I blasted one in the act and being the kind soul I am I gave it to my neighbor kid who was practicing taxidermy. Not bad for his first effort but I still remember the tortured expression on the squirrel's face reminded me of Gov. Dayton! Speaking of that, waiting to see what happens with my healthcare application. Think I'll call Chuck Norris!

28 to start for us. Not a lot new here either, might try walking out to wet a line  :fishing: as it should be better getting around after a couple colder nights. Glad we're not down home as they got blasted :snow2: since yesterday afternoon. Hope you enjoy your day.

Had about 6" of snow here and predicting another 2" - 4". Sounds like the shearer is coming Saturday so will need to focus on keeping the sheep dry for a few.days. Fed the brood ewes inside this a.m. so that should help. Have a good one!

Buried down here and snow still roaring down. %$#@ Power was out for 2 hours. Woke up to cold dark house. Tree limbs breaking, heavy snow stuck to everything. More on the way.  I need coffee, now that the power just came back on.

Here CAWchester had 7" as of this morning Rebs.  Was thinking of how grumpy that was making you.  lol  Nice up here.  Just a little drizzle but no big deal.  It is below freezing so the resorts and loggers appreciate that.
