Morning fellers. Sounds like this is the last day of these warm days. Only to see they really expanded that winter storm watch to include us up here in Stearns county. and I was just getting use to no snow!;;

WOW!!!  That is one heck of a belly....      A little snow coming down here.  Took my fishhouse to the shoreline yesterday after work.  Still have about 20" of nice hard ice but everyone else was taking them off and I don't like being the only one still on the ice...   Especially with what we have been seeing on here about people going through.  Better safe than sorry.  My wife is especially happy as she is the checks and balances around here.   :-)   Welll while we were gone another 16 year old boy committed suicide here.  How sad.  Happened last year too.  Darn.  We didn't know either kid but still such a tragedy.  It appears that online bullying had something to do with both.  I can't believe how cruel these kids can be to each other.  I sure hope there is some type of accountability for it some way.....   Even though some days are not as rosy as others it is a great big wonderful world out there.

Most of the time when we are in Bemidji we stop and pick one up.  They used to have a Papa Johns across the street but it closed up a few years ago.  Not as good as Papa Murphy's.  We love em....

38 to start, headin for low 60's today. Wind, rain, & 40's tomorrow. Bigger wind, rain changing to freezing rain & snow(1-3") late Friday is what TWC has forcasted for us. No Papa Murphy's in town here either but we will do 1 when we go to mom's. We'll doctor up a Aldi's pizza too, pretty good, cheap. 1 of glenn's brand last night. Read a report of a pick up in the water on Lake Bemidji over the weekend at 1 of the PA's, so anyone goin out be extra careful. That's all I got today, have a good 1

Morning dudes and dudettes! Waiting for that big storm that now is supposed to dump 8" snow, ice, sleet, rain, hail, and other filthy s**t all over the place. 38* and supposed to be near 60* again today. Cleaned up around the place yday, where do all the bits of plastic, bags and crap come from over the winter?! Cleaned up a lot of pine needles and broken pine branches out front and swept off all the steps, just anything to keep me outside and enjoying the day. Laid down some grass seed where the gas co ravaged my lawn last year,  before the snow hits, so it'll get worked in. All the frost appears to be out of the concrete, garage floor has been dry as a bone. I feel an egg McReb comin' on...have a good one, guys.

mornin, sorry to hear that kind of news LPS.  these kids have not even started life yet.  quiet day here, do some laundry, make some food,  maybe do nothing.  I'll know later what I do.  have a good day folks.

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service La Crosse WI
349 AM CST Wed Feb 22 2017

...Winter Storm Moves In Thursday Night...

.Snow...rain...and wind will accompany a winter storm slated to
drive across the region Thursday night through Friday night.

The precipitation will start out as rain Thursday evening...
transitioning to snow or a rain-snow mix later Thursday night,
continuing through Friday. Snow is expected Friday night. A brief
period of freezing drizzle also possible late Thursday night into
Friday morning.

Current indications would bring 4 to 8 inches...locally
higher...to locations along and north of an Austin to Winona
Minnesota...to Black River Falls Wisconsin line. Light icing
possible if freezing drizzle develops.

Winds become strong and gusty Friday night. Blowing and drifting
snow could become a concern in open and unsheltered areas.

While confidence is high that this storm will produce significant
amounts of snow, where that ultimately falls is not certain. A
small shift in the storm track will have large impacts on what
falls where, and how much.

Don't think so...that area is always thin ice around where you head out. Been fishing that area since the 70's, and it's a bad spot to be when it warms up. Hated taking my truck out there even in January. Guess I really am starting not to miss doing all of that too much....

Ya me too.  Like I said I got mine up to shore yesterday after work.  When the ground freezes in a day or two I will pull it up to the house.   Lots of ice but feels good to  not see it out on the river anymore.  Bring spring on...  Hey Boar, YO!  Dudettes???  I wondered if there were any of them here...

Hi ya fellers, bustinazzville all done for the day. Man what great weather today. I still can see grass seed from last fall but it's probably toast. The back yard is so friggen rough I might just havta rent one of those rollers to pull behind the mow lawner. Late one fall night last year I was out poking around the back yard and heard something, pointed my flashlight down and saw all kinds of crawlers, might as well start picking them and ship em to you guys for bait..
