Happy 4th!  Clear, calm,65, and HUMID here in Swampville. Headin' for 85* today they say, suddenly the 50% chance of rain and all day T-storms has disappeared... OK by me, I wanna see the fireworks, and grill that big one pound chuckeye I picked up yday... Other than that, I'm not doing anything...would  be watching the Nathans's Hot Dog Eating contest, but I no longer get ESPN on my DirecTV Basic package...the jerks. Have a happy, safe 4th all!

Mornin boys, 60 here for our start. WCCO weatherman said Bemidji could get their fireworks rained out. Looks like after midnight for us, maybe. They started earlier( ~ noon) out on the bay yday so it wasn't such a busy out there in the late afternoon.  Probably even earlier today with the higher temps. Not much else happenin, so we'll just be goin with the flow. Be safe & have a good 4th

Morning.  Yes Gunner I just looked and we have a 70% chance of rain at about 9 here too.  It is supposed to get to 87 here today.  Have strong south winds here now.  That is too hot for my comfort zone.  Will be a sit in the shade day.. May not accomplish as much as I intended to.      Would like to go to town for a Gyro today.  The stand that shows up makes great ones. I have never seen the people at that stand smile.  I will try again this year to get one out of either of them.  They actually look like a Greek couple..  I am thinking later we will grill some of our German Sausages since the 4th is traditional hot dog holiday...

morning all. sure wish we would get some rain. only talking a 20-30% chance. I'd sure like to burn up some 10-10-10 in my garden and lawn. and my grass out front is starting to show its dry!!!!!

not much planned today. finish adding extra screws to my deck!!!!!! get things together to head up north..........hopefully Thursday nite!!!!!!!!

I really only prefer hot dogs made by plantenbergs meat market in Richmond. there ground bologna is just as good!!!!

man its sticky outside...........not sure if I wanna leave the house!!!!!!!!! oh man do I remember the days of welding when the weather was like this..........wearing long sleeve shirts and leather jackets....................UFFDA!!!!!!!!!!

I worked the Spring ,Summer & Fall of '79 in a steel/metal fab plant, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. It was just a giant steel building and would get to 105* inside. We sprayed diesel fuel on the big rolls of aluminum for a lubricant as they unwound entering the presses. Your gloves were soaked in it,making your hand soft, which were continually cut by the edges of the metal. It also gave ya pounding headaches, and it was often that guys would just drop and pass out. Plus, open punch presses...no guards or safety brakes. I still don't know why OSHA didn't shut this place down..one guys hand was flattened and looked like the cartoon baseball glove. Then home to an old farmhouse I rented, bedroom upstairs under the rafters. Ya laid in bed and watched the sweat run down your chest. Then, off to bar tend until 1:00 am. Can't believe I did all that...
