I like to tell my wife how she calls the shots around here.  Makes her feel good and it may be right most of the time but we do decide things together.  I think.....   Well Thursday.  Man these weeks are just too long.  Should be 3 day work weeks and 4 day weekends.

Hey del, we killed the pike on the south side bay of center island trolling size 11 rapalas between the dock and hazard marker going west to east from point to point, since that is close to your place give it a try. Well time to sit back have a few drinks and enjoy the last few hours I have here in gods country before the 17 hour drive back tomorrow. I know it's an everyday sight for most of you out your back door but for me the long drive is well worth it to see this "up north" land. Have a good one
Del packed er up in mid August, too cold for him!

"Mornin'. 66*, hazy and hume here. Hazy air from Canadian fires is still affecting us way down here; making for some spectacular sunsets/huge sun pics. Shot these last nite while on the drive to the store. Can't see a sunset or sunrise from my house because I live down in a small valley.   Headed for 88* degrees today, say the wedder goofballs. Have a good day, guys.

I will read them later Del.  As we know anything with bacon is good.  TGIF!!!  Man I had Monday off and it still seemed like the week was never going to end.  Was getting colder all afternoon yesterday.  Supposed to drop all afternoon and rain again this afternoon too.  May not be a good morning to golf tomorrow for me and the missus.  So then we will work on Ice Rigs.  Need to get stocked up for the season.  Sort of fun to do too.  I can smome something whilst we do it.  On the grill I mean of course.... :smoking:  Good luck with Houdini JB.

Mornin guys, 56 at the moment. Some wind & a light mist here ~ 5, so no :fishing:. Wind came up & switched to the NW around 3, temps started dropping too. Heard some distant rumbles of thunder close to 4 & lookin at radar , it appears the very southern edge of the nasty stuff went just north of us at Northome. Looks like we had some showers overnight as we have .7 in the gauge, didn't see much wind damage though.I'm sure we'll see that on Saturday after glenn  gets up here :bs: ;) :rotflmao:. Looks like cool(60's),wet, & windy weather for us again thru the weekend or whenever 57 goes home, whichever comes 1st.  Hope you enjoy your Friday everyone, even you smurfette. ;) :surrender:

I thought those gave an interesting perspective on the commercial side of the bacon business.  Who would have thought there was a magazine for bacon production...

I tried to post them awhile back when we were talking about bacon, but it wouldn't work for some reason.  I came across them while cleaning out some stuff, and tried again.

Went up north to meet my brother at the boat landing of Boulder Lake near Duluth for a day's fishing.  Fishing was slow but we got into some nice crappies.  No walleye's though,  too sunny out and not much wind.  Crappies were between 10 and 14 inches.  Had to hunt for them which is part of the deal.  Had some bumps and beers also.  Sure love it up there.  Going back again.  good luck.

Good morning all, I got home late last night we were in the car for a little over 17 hours and only dozed off once thanks to the lane assist assist in my car it kept me in between the lines or would've probably wrecked. I got the car unpacked and cleaned, laundry and grass cut. As for the last three days of vacation today is go to the casino and have a few beer, tomorrow is grind some stumps at my buddies and have a few beers & Sunday is golfing and have a few beers. I think I see a pattern here, beer beer and beer which is never a bad thing  :happy1:. Y'all have a good rest of the day/weekend and I can't wait to see what smurfy decides to ship my way after the men beat the queens on Sunday
if you kick me when I'm down you better pray I don't get up.
