Just went to town and we have more snow from last night than I thought.  Maybe 3" of very light stuff.  I will have to plow but will wait till it stops completely.  I see gas is down to $3.09 here, Diesel is $4.23.  I see Beaver Bay got 28" of snow and NW of Two Harbors got that much too. Ken you have more than that in those drifts.

They just showed the road conditions on the news.  The road from Baudette to I Falls is completely snow covered???  As in not usable I guess.
Hmm. Da wife was talking about going to I-Falls tomorrow.  Might have to rethink that.
My Mom emailed me this morning. They live east of Princeton and early this morning a big red pine fell onto there house and came thru the ceiling of the bedroom. They just got a new roof last fall because of storms last summer. Crazy. Luckily nobody was hurt.

They should have it cleaned up by tomorrow I would think.  They are really putting down the salt around here today.

Yes, very glad everyone is OK.  I gotta believe it is extra hard to get big holes like that patched in winter.

What a bummer that is JB.  We have a huge ash tree by the house and think about turning it into firewood so it doesn't fall on the house.

that is one of the reasons I had the huge maple tree took out by the corner of the house last year..  glad I did too...

I took down a big old Cottonwood the year after I moved in here. I don't think it would have reached the house but the detached garage would have taken a hit.

JB when I sold my house in Princeton in 2020 the buyer INSISTED I put a new roof on it in January. Insisted. I told him I would put the money into a escrow account until spring. Nope, now or I'm not buying. OK. There are people out there who will fix it but with the temps taking a dive next week it won't be fun. Hopefully they can get somebody up there today or tomorrow to get that melting snow scraped off.

My younger brother is only 20 minutes away from them. He will get it patched up for them I am sure. We grew learning up learning how to swing a hammer.

Here you can find the snow totals for the past 3 days. Says we have gotten 17 inches here over 3 days.

Doesn't have Baudette info.  Says only 3" in Warroad.  I would guess 10-12 here at our place.  Just plowed about 3".

that weather  map or should i say snow total map is cool.  :happy1: :happy1: pretty crazy though, we are 7 miles west of talmoon. it indicates 6.9 inches at talmoon......Marcell is about 5 miles east of talmoon and that map says 13.7 inches......... :doofus: so in a span of roughly 5 miles there is a 6.8 inch difference in snowfall????

I would guess it's the same as measuring Walleyes. You can have 2 guys measure the same Walleye with the same ruler and get 2 different measurements.

After I got done cleaning up the snow at moms I took a Cruze around the horseshoe chain. There were people on the lakes but every track out there was wet.

Talked to a guy said his kid has a house on long lake, he walked out to his house and said it was a real mess.

We got back to town ~ 1:15 & left down there ~ 11:30. Roads were pretty good to start but the last 40 miles weren't real good. Not much over 45-50 the last 20, either. Oh & glenn!!!!!!!! :mooning: :tut:

I shoveled out front yday after we got home & it looked like we got ~ 3 " Thursday night. It sounds like I might have to go down to the bar  to watch the Vikes today as ALL the NFL games are on the NFL Network today.  :pouty: 'Bout it here, have a good day!!

Morning boys. 14 here and not supposed to warm up much from there. I am going to put some venny roasts in brine today so I can smoke them on my week off. Then I plan to get my small fish out and fish this afternoon. Well, just another day in paradise. Have a good one boys.
